As a Texas resident, my go tos are:
Valentina (good on eggs) Cholula (also good at breakfast) Tabasco Louisiana And then Trappey's just tabasco peppers in vinegar (it's good on greens).

Never used Texas Pete. I like Tiger Sauce. It's a mild hot sauce. Another brand that tastes very much like Tiger Sauce is Tennessee Sunshine. I'm going to see how this Texas case shakes out and depending on how it falls, I may pursue a similar action with the Tennessee Sunshine sauce. I plan to inspect a bottle of it first to make sure it's not actually made in TN. And if I win my case I intend to file another action protesting the unavailability of Hunter Biden Laptop Sauce. I've not been able to find it anywhere.
