I really don't understand all of the pressure being exerted for President Trump to find the cure. That's not the job of the POTUS, not even President Trump. Grow up in your expectations, guys. I can promise you if and when a cure or vaccine for Covid is found, some new disease will find its way to kill us. It is what it is.
Honey, in a National Emergency it is absolutely the President's 'job' to facilitate an effective response.

I hope that you know the difference between facilitate and cure. President Trump has set up a committee, probably more than one, looking into more information regarding covid. There is very little that we know about it. There are clinical trials going on (I hope they are double blind) to discover what they can regarding the virus. If it's up to the POTUS to find the cure, then why wasn't pressure put on all previous POTUS'S to hurry up and find the cure for cancer which has been around a heck of a lot longer than covid virus. My guess is that cancer has been around in pre-President Washington days. We can't cure any of the various kinds of cancer. I guess 'Shame on all Presidents'! Talk about a straw man argument. No one is saying Trump should find the cure, that is silly. But our national response is on his watch, so his responsibility. Even right at this moment, he is not telling the country to stay at home and wear masks when going out. The president's words are not like yours or mine, they have weight, whether he knows or likes or cares about it. When he tells the US that this is a hoax, at least a chunk of the population listens to him and acts on that information.
Are you really saying that you don't think the US president's statements carry any weight? I keep hearing your side defend him by saying look what he does, not what he says. I have news for you. The US president saying something, IS doing something.

This post reeks of desperation. I would not call it desperation. I know Trump will be reelected. It is more pity. I can’t believe how many like you exist in this advanced civilization. The Trump Virus's continued spread in our country is Trump's fault. I guess calling it a hoax and saying it would disappear in April was a bad idea. The virus has spread all over the world. Is that Trumps fault too? He has done nothing but good for us and the country, so you have nothing else to try and blame him for. Admit it, the (D) socialist party is all done. They are even your enemy.
We have about 25% of the known cases in the world.

No more so than states like Florida, Georgia, Texas, and California that have had issues with properly releasing their number of cases. Regardless of China, 5.6 million cases doesn't suddenly become a better number to celebrate and proclaim everything is under control.

Lol. An authoritarian country with over a billion people that can't be trusted at all is similar to our four states. This is why you can't be taken seriously. Have you considered yet that no country actually has this under control until an effective vaccine is created or enough people have been infected to naturally reduce the rate of infection? |
