Specifically on this site. Yes, when you're replying, use the little button at the top of the reply window (in the row with all the buttons like fonts, etc.)—the one that looks like a painting in a frame.
I might be wrong, but if you try to share a photo from your own computer, this site won't be able to share it in a post. It requires the photo be on the inet somewhere. Like imgur.
If you hover over the painting square on the right side of the upper line, it will say "insert image" and that's your cue. It will ask for a "url" which is confirmation that the photo must be out on the internet before it can be added to a post.
Your mileage probably will not vary.
