So... 1 to 2 years to replenish the Javelin supplies. Perhaps shorter. And if Stingers have not been made for 18 years, high time to do a redesign with modern, more efficient components. Put those designers and programmers back to work.
It's all doable. It just needs to be done.

In the reports, there is a redesign in the works re: Stingers though it's still a few years off from production. There are some people in Congress urging action on this. I guess we'll see what happens. |

And there are clearly issues with production right now and ramping that up. If you look at the Wall Street Journal article linked above, concerns were being raised back in January by the National Defense Industrial Association, particularly regarding worker shortages and supply chain issues. Those issues have become more acute now. |
