Yes, there is such a thing as "The Black Vote". Black voters tend to be Democrats and support candidates that support the Black Community. Black voters are turned off by "get off the plantation" comments. Barack Obama got the Black Vote. People stood in line for hours to cast a vote for him. Moreso the first election than the second, but it was still a large turnout. The Black vote didn't really turn out for Hillary Clinton. That's the reason Trump barely won in enough swing states to win the electoral college. Won't happen this time. The Black Vote is going to turn out for Biden AND Kamala Harris. The community is HIGHLY MOTIVATED. This is why Trump is doing his level best to take out the Post Office and sue states to stop mail in ballots. His attacks are focused at large urban areas filled with, Black voters.
That said, Harris is going to bring them...

I'm black, and I'm voting for Kanye. You're an effin LIAR.
I've seen your photo. You're white, not black.
However you might just be stupid enough to vote for Kanye.
There is that.

Greg To funny not to share.. link
Snip: For the 2020 race, it seems some are repeating the same mistake. Kamala Harris has built her campaign around reminding people that she’s (partly) black and emphasizing that rivals like Joe Biden are white, with the assumption that black voters will flock to her based on this alone. And how is that strategy working out for her? A new poll shows 1% of black Democrats support her. One percent. For comparison, 8% of all black voters in 2016 voted for Trump. Donald Fucking Trump is more popular with black voters than Kamala Harris is!

Greg Greg, this sounds like you're trying to convince yourself rather than any of us. Where were all of these "highly motivated" members of the black community when Kamala was failing in her primary bid. Practically no one wanted her as their candidate, yet now we are to believe that she's going to bring them in?
So much Kamala baggage, so little time to tell everyone about it:
What you are proving is the stereotype that Black voters will ALWAYS vote for a Black candidate is NOT true. During the primaries, Biden was the more viable candidate to win against Trump. NOW that Biden is in, Black voters got both of what they want. A winner with a highly qualified Black woman on the ticket. Greg

If black voters always vote for the black candidate, what happened to President Cain?
How about a President West?
The truth is, the racist BS peddled by the white wing has always been wrong, and never less wrong than the racist white creeps on LNF are now.
You know who you are.
Pathetic.

She sure put a bunch in jail.
Let’s see if the black voter stereotype holds true.

Greg Why would Biden need the black vote if Trump is seen as such a racist jackass? Maybe the narrative that you have been espousing was all lies.

The true racists are the folks who are highly motivated because of this woman's ethnicity. That truly is pathetic. That's also how we wound up with an incompetent fool like Obama as president. It's also racist that she won't get the kind of media scrutiny that most conservative politicians get. What's pathetic? People have the right to vote for anybody they want for ANY reason they want. You going to claim many White voters didn't vote for Obama not because he was Black? Greg

It can't be that KH brings the vote back, but it never left.

Hilary was his whipping post and the base loved it.
No more Hilary. AOC and "The Squad" can't fill that void.
The hate will still get played up and the hyperbolic statements of (((DOOM))) will repeat ad nauseum, but his single biggest advantage from '16 is no longer an advantage.

Nor can Kamala, although the Trumpestilence is certainly trying as hard as it can.
Their problem is that one cannot become a state attorney general and a US Senator by being a wild-eyed left wing radical.
The truth is Kamala Harris is one tough cookie who is largely impervious to Trump's frantic attempts at character assassination. In the upcoming debate she will have Mikey crying for his mommy.

Greg I have a hard time believing Harris is more likely to gain Biden a larger share of "the black vote" than some of the other choices rumored to be on his list. At any rate, if Biden gets though this campaign without being forced to clearly and unambiguously answer the question, "As long as you are determined to be medically and mentally fit for office, do you promise to the American people to complete your 4-year term?" it's going to be a sad state of affairs for our country.

Your post basically says that you don't think Biden is medically and mentally fit for office.
Upon what do you base that conclusion?
And how can you ignore all the evidence to date that Trump is not mentally fit for office?

Your post basically says that you don't think Biden is medically and mentally fit for office. It does no such thing. The question without the qualifier would be a foolish question to ask. No candidate should make an unqualified promise to finish his term. Even a young man could have a debilitating stroke that renders him unfit. I quite obviously made no such statement. Are you serious? Donald Trump is completely unfit for office. I've said it here a million times. It's why stu thinks I'm a communist.

Your two posts on this are quite contradictory.
Perhaps you could work on your writing to clarify your intentions with far less ambiguity.
Just a suggestion.
As a reminder, here is what you wrote:

You are basically saying that the nation would suffer grievously if one of the candidates is not "forced" to answer what is basically an insulting and impertinent question. Has any other presidential candidate been so required? It presupposes that the candidate in question tacitly agrees to regular medical and mental health examinations, which most certainly are not required by any clause in our constitution. There is a constitutional process for temporarily substituting a president if he or she is found unable to perform the duties of the office. As I understand it, that was enacted after Woodrow Wilson suffered a debilitating stroke while he was still president, and his wife was rumored to be acting in his stead. All a candidate for president really need do today is to affirm, upon inauguration, that they will uphold the Constitution, which would, necessarily, include that provision.
No more really needs to be "forced" upon a candidate, and I'm shocked that you seem to think it does.

You continually fail to understand so much because of your blind, binary view of politics. It makes discussion with you nearly impossible at times because you do not understand what people are saying to you. You will doubtless claim some kind of victory here, either on the board or in your head, but I have no desire to beat my head against the wall of your blind worldview. Good night.
