Ask yourself, could you go without beer for a month, if you were being fed, or could you go without food for a month, if you had beer (& bar snacks)?

maybe there is someone on this forum who hasn't already heard this - if so, then I've enlightened them if not, then you are welcome to throw things at me An old German saying often attributed to Ben Franklin: In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in water there is bacteria. In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. coli) - bacteria found in feces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop. However, we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer (or tequila, rum, whiskey or other liquors) because alcohol has to go through a purification process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting. Remember: Water = Poop, Beer = Health Therefore, it's better to drink beer and talk stupid, than to drink water and be full of shit. There is no need to thank me for this valuable information: I'm doing it as a public service. Just remember, fish piss in the water.

Yes, I could go without beer or any other alcoholic beverage for a month, or more.
I would not want even to try living for a month solely on beer and bar snacks. It would be most unhealthy.
It helps if you realize that alcohol is an evil plot by the yeast organism to hook humans into propagating yeast.

The same water that would be used to make beer or wine. The only difference is that with beer, the water is boiled at the start of brewing, which would kill the bacteria. You could do the same by boiling your drinking water, although with modern municipal water treatment plants this is hardly necessary. They kill the bacteria with chemicals and filter out the remains.
Try learning some science some day.

Let's get back to beer.
What brew do you hold in great reverence? In the US, I'm a Fosters man. In Europe, Red Star Heineken in the red bottle. We don't get that here. Goooooooood stuff.....

Well, when I drink beer, it's usually been a Mexican lager like Tecate. Although my previously mentioned low carb habit has led me to the light version. Which isn't bad. Miller Lite is supposed to be the best of the lite bunch, because it's actually brewed with a specific strain of yeast suited to the lower carb content. Other lite beers supposedly being just watered down.
It isn't what it isn't.

Back in the eighties, I dabbled in Miller Lite. Just made me mad and fart. Greg

Can't stand Budweiser of any flavor. Tastes too sweet to me.
Most Mexican brand beers seem more authentic to me, except for Corona, which is over-advertised and under-brewed.
But, like I said, I don't drink much any more.

Greg Industrial Arts Torque Wrench is no joke. For their 4th anniversary, they made some brew called Week 208 which I wish I'd gotten a few more of. Impact Wrench might kill you. www.industrialartsbrewing.com/beerlocator

I'm sure Industrial Arts brews like Torque Wrench are fine, if not awesome.
Out here we've got a number of craft breweries: Gordon Biersch, Pyramid (closed), Anchor Steam, 21st Amendment, Drake's, Triple Rock, Bison (closed), Trumer Pils (lager), Cleophus Quealy, to name just a few locals.
I've sampled most of those listed above, but they are but a fraction of the craft breweries in Northern California.
I'm not quite sure how one would go about applying torque to a glass of beer, but I'm willing to give it a try.
YMMV

This time of year, around here it's snow slushies. Biggest insulated cup, filled with virgin powdered snow. Around here, we get that about five months a year. Favorite double+IPA added slowly, stirring as you go.
Cheers!

When I was just a wee thing in the wilds of Connecticut, we had a winter rule: don't eat the yellow snow.

Ask yourself, could you go without beer for a month, if you were being fed, or could you go without food for a month, if you had beer (& bar snacks)? Bar snacks? What pvssy needs bar snacks? Essential minerals are washed out by drinking gallons of beer. The bare minimum of replenishment that is consistent with masculine pride is a handful of salted peanuts or potato-based snacks from time to time. As we used to say in Charlie Troop "don't do solids on days off, except crisps".
