That seems to fit a lot of clues; don't know about the white suits and nosebleed.

If it is "Indochine", it's a rather obscure movie, at least for American audiences.

Probably white uniforms, not white suits.
"Suits" is misleading. -1.

Funny hats? The Non La is the traditional straw conical hat worn by the Vietnamese. It is not a joke or "funny".

Failing to understand that the clue had nothing to do with a non la, or any other functional headgear, but is the term I typically use for all forms of religion's silly head adornments. -4 back at ya (you know that I don't belittle based on ethnicity)

What is so silly or funny about another culture's sacred or religious headgear?

A far more accurate term would be "ceremonial headgear".
Clowns may wear "funny hats", because the intent is to provoke amusement and laughter. What is so funny about somebody else's religious ceremonial accoutrements? I'm sure the members of that religion don't think it's funny.

DOA and then about an hour later the reading of the rules in big bold letters. Do you do internet searches? Looking back, you started making obviously wrong guesses very early on. It just made me wonder if you are mostly guessing from movies that you have seen; otherwise, you should have gotten this one early on. Let's give the others 24 hours from the time you quit. If we haven't heard from them by then I'll revel the name. Any chance of you answering my questions?
1) Actually I posted "I quit". What about that wasn't clear to you? 2) Where did I ask you to respond every hour? 3) I posted the rules because it looked like you were ready to move on without revealing the name of the movie and without explaining the clues. 4) My search technique is proprietary. My guesses (except for Mary Poppins) were based on my research. 5) Don't act so butt hurt.
So, is the game over when the first person quits, when you quit, or when everyone quits? I'm not sure who is acting butt-hurt, but I know it ain't me. I'm just trying to play your game by the rules. True, it wasn't every hour, but if you'll notice, My 16a, 16b, 16c and 17 were posted at the same time as your "quit" post. I was unaware of yours when I posted mine. Also, there's your history of continuing to guess and claiming to be the winner after you quit that caused me to courteously leave the game open to you and to the others possibly still playing. What marks the end of a game. You allow 24 hours to choose a new fame and a player may not necessarily check the forum constantly for new clues, or to quit voluntarily. Maybe 12 hours after the first person quits. Can you guess after quitting?

Edit: why do clowns scare small children and why do other children laught and point at the pope? Knowing the speaker/writer/poster improves communication. For years I have referred to religious leaders as people with funny hats. Never been called on it before. Isn't there some obscure old saying about looking for fault?
