Payroll tax? Not only that. Most of you don't have any idea. You people have no idea what American manufacturing costs for each employee. I mean big companies like My GM which I love and think is a great company, quality vehicles and treat the employees great. The employees may be paid from 25 to 35 dollars an hour. But it costs the company at least 80 dollars an hour for each employee. The holiday pay, the medical ins. the workman’s comp. ins. the pensions, vacation pays, SS payroll tax, and I don’t even remember what else. So you earn 35 an hour and on top of that it cost the company another 45 an hour. Nice huh?

Wait a minute. Eliminating the payroll tax for employees means that the employer now only has to pay half what they were in pay roll tax. Don’t forget, the employer was paying you full pay minus the percent for you that they would have paid you if it did not exist. So it is all their money being paid anyway. Now they will pay only half.

When Obama cut payroll taxes by 2%, that 2% went to employees in more pay. Not back to the employer.

^ Was thinking more about some of the usual suspects. Ah, well I was one of the ones complaining mightily about Obama's legislation-through-executive-action as well, so not all those opposed to Obama on this issue are hypocrites. |
