Mine is Johnny Walker Blue.
Honorable mention is Angel's Envy. I can't get blue often. It's hard to find. When I do find it, it is expensive. I just tried Angel's and it jumped to my favorite, less expensive whiskey.

I love Scotch.. I have a number of excellent single malts.. a few blends..
I could change your mind about Bourbon.. not with 'rotguts' .. The recent American Bourbons/Whiskeys are some of the best in the world..

Jack Daniels distillery just recently announced a special limited edition (only a few barrels exist)that varies from about 147 to 156 proof....even had to design a special cork because the high alcohol content would push the standard cork out of the bottle. It sells for $55 a bottle which is about a pint.

I confess I have never been a big whisky fan. It's OK, but I prefer wine and/or beer. Unless the whisky is added to a LOT of non-alcoholic ingredients, and then what's the point of that?
Too many whisky aficionados wind up falling down drunk. Not a good thing.

Just finished the Buffalo Trace tonight. I really liked it a lot. Opened up the Elijah Craig shortly thereafter. It's delicious. Ever got your hands on any Pappy Van Winkle? James Carville swears it's better than mother's milk. |
