I read that they're expecting upwards of 250,000 'bikers' .. But for bikers.. masks and social distancing is for pussies of course .. Masks are a sign of weakness.
So?? How bad will the spread be? How many deaths? Well.. like mega-churches and Trump rallies maybe it's just thinning the dumbest members of the herd ..

If you don't know how many may already have it before they arrived how will you decide who actually caught it there? Answer is that you can't. No worries NOV 4 the virus goes away. D-man has calculated that by August 31, new cases will be down to just 100/day.
Do you concur?

It's WHERE they spread it.. We'll see one way or the other as it unfolds over the next few weeks. No worries NOV 4 the virus goes away. Nov 4th is the day America has her much needed enema and Trump peristalticly begins his journey towards the last sphincter .. As for the coronavirus.. Trump/Far-Right has fucked this up so badly that we'll have 250,000+ deaths by this time next year no matter who is president..

Trump/Far-Right has fucked this up so badly that we'll have 250,000+ deaths by this time next year no matter who is president.. It matters to the extent that the narrative for more than a few will be those that come down with it definitely caught it there regardless of where else they may have contracted it. If they came there with it then it would also be unfair to blame it on Sturgis and create a narrative for upcoming events i.e. Trump rallies. Unless everyone hides in their basement there will always be a chance to spread it. As long as one wears a mask, they protect themself You always hear, "it's for your own protection". Not entirely true. If you are wearing a mask then I am the one at risk if I chose not to wear one and suffer the consequences of my choice. I'm not so sure you are going to get your wish re: Trump. Long way to go. It's far from over. Recall as recently a week before the election in 2016, Hillary was supposedly leading. If Biden was a better candidate I might have a different opinion. We also may have a vaccine and Trump's admin will get no credit for cutting the red tape. "If they came there with it"? Guess who leaves with it? Greg

"If they came there with it"? Guess who leaves with it? Greg Tell me who does? The folks that are likely Trump supporters anyway? You should rejoice if you haven't already. Less votes for Trump. Stay in your basement. You'll be fine. As long as you protect yourself, fear not! Based on your noticeable hysteria, I have no doubt that you have taken every precaution. Good for you. So people that come to Sturgis will give it to other people there and they'll leave with it. Greg

Doesn't hurt you as long as you hide with Joe in the basement and when you go out wear a mask. Something tells me that you will be fine. You know Herman Cain made that same choice. He didn't make it.... Greg

W Yep.. That's the gene filter in action.. With the terminally stupid we hope they'll off themselves before they have a chance to procreate thus not passing on the gene for the tendency to do stupid shit..

I'm glad to see Sturgis continue to do whatever it does. It's a choice that each one attending has made on his'/her own. No one is forced to attend and no one is forced not to attend. The city needs the tourism of the event. I guess the attitude is "Covid, be damned". I like that the choice is offered to attend or not, just as it is every year.
"You pays your money and you make your choice". Good luck to us all.

"You pays your money and you make your choice". Good luck to us all. No truer words. It's a person's choice. No one is being arm twisted to go. Funny that many who do the most bitching about events like this are the ones hiding in their basements or wearing their masks 24/7 anyway and have little chance of ever coming in contact with people at this event or anyone that can spread it to them. Choices have consequenes. Choosing to congregate during a well documented pandemic will spread the disease to people who chose not to attend the event.

Choices have consequenes. Choosing to congregate during a well documented pandemic will spread the disease to people who chose not to attend the event. That point has been made numerous times and no one yet as argued that there is not the potential for that. The counter has and is that those that are fearful of that are the same ones who are limiting their social contacts to begin with and wearing masks already so the odds of them catching it from these folks or someone closser to home is still slim. In the context of the event, yes. The choice to attend and ignore public health best practices I understand. My freedom. I get it. They're all there out of choice, (somewhat) informed consent. Have fun. The post-event spread is where the rights of others, those not even attending the event, are infringed. When the attendees head back to wherever will they all wear masks and isolate? A choice most won't make. :/ Perhaps it won't be much longer but we still live in a free society and are allowed to make our own choices. Of course, how could this not end in a total loss of freedom?

The bikers said they were coming anyway. Where is their(Sturgis citizens) right to choose?.. How is that different from a group of people.. some perhaps diseased.. insisting on coming in your house whether you want them to or not.?
