I did a little analysis using CDC and Worldmeter data on Malaria and Covid-19 and here is what I found:
For countries that have rare or no occurrences of Malaria, the average COVID-19 infection per 1 million is 3,980 with the average deaths per million being 112.
For countries that have Malaria in the entire or most regions, the average COVID-19 infection per 1 million is 1,578 with the average deaths per million being 29.
So something in countries with Malaria is slowing the spread of COVID-19. National mask policies seem to have a marginal affect but it would take too long to quantify.

I didn't have good data for these countries, so they were omitted.
