We should never use Covid-19 as an excuse to not have elections administered in polling places. Our polling pace has been moved several times and people have always found it. If you want to vote, do it in person. We manage to go to other places to do stuff, e.g. mr crepe just went to Lowe's to pick up an outdoor light system so that it shines on our flag during the dark hours. The one we have has broken.
If something is important, we find a way to do it. mr crepe ordered the system and is just going to pick it up. He will be masked, etc., as will the employee.
As for the "shields", if we have to we'll buy a couple. No decorations, please. People will look at the decorations and ignore social distancing. Right now we're not rushing out to buy any.

Yet that is exactly what is being attempted under the guise of the virus is too dangerous. Not dangerous to riot, loot, march, peacefully protest but too dangerous to have an organized way of voting in person WITH precautions. Dig beyond the virus excuse and it's easy to figure why it's one side pushing for it. Could it be those internal polls are saying something that they fear politically like Trump winning. So what better way to shall we say tamper than to put an untried method in place. Look no further than Patterson NJ for a small example of what can happen. Devious minds are often very creative. We've heard all the arguments from we're doing it already to there's no such thing as fraud and this is a better method.  Maybe I missed it but only one person here who I don't think is a Trump fan at least admitted that there could be administartive issues for lack of better phrase to conducting it totally by mail. A few agree also agree that what we now call mail in voting isn't quite what is being proposed, certianly not the scale of it...nationwide. When one side of a political isle pushs too hard for dramatic changes to the voting process and on such short notice...beware.
