Was it a public library? If so, I'd think that if one government funded entity can take action in favor of BLM, another one can take action against BLM. Frankly I don't think government should take a position on it one way or the other.
The government should always be on the side of equality.

And that, apparently, was the intent of the Library's initial statement. They say it was not intended as an anti-police position. Similarly, the Sheriff has explained that his statement was a result of stress over the attacks on police. The county has assured everyone that the sheriff's office will continue to respond to requests for help at the library as before. The two sides are scheduled to meet further to resolve any remaining differences.
And, by the way, the Library says its statement was similar to one promulgated by 160 Libraries across the nation.

Did any part of the gov't ever take a positive stance regarding the health and welfare of its citizens? Because if it did, then I don't understand why another part of the gov't can't take a stance against the health and welfare of its citizens. Color me a fascist, but I can't see why it's any of the govt's business. |

I believe the chief was telling the person in charge of the library that when the burning and looting starts and if the library somehow is on fire, don’t waste the call. |
