'Umbrella Man' who broke windows in initial George Floyd protests a white supremacist, police say
Two days after the death of George Floyd, a surveillance video showing a man dressed in all-black garb and holding a black umbrella breaking the windows of an AutoZone with a sledgehammer went viral.
The individual, dubbed "Umbrella Man" on social media, was a member of a white supremacist group with intentions to stoke racial tension, police confirmed Tuesday.
Before breaking the windows, he spray painted "free (expletive) for everyone zone" on the front doors of the shop. Some protesters confronted the man to stop.
Hours later, a fire broke out at the store — the first that firefighters responded to during the protests that took place May 27.
The revelation, first reported by the Star Tribune in Minneapolis, confirms the suspicions of some protesters that unaffiliated agitators sought to cause discord in the protests.

I believe the discord on that day started with the looting of the Target. Did white supremacists cause that too? I'm just trying to figure out if we're trying to use one case to cover up thousands, as if all nonzero numbers are equal, and in fact the bigger they are the smaller they are. He likes give the "exception to the rule" so to speak. Who did the looting, rioting and burning? Our eyes deceive us. There were no black people doing anything of the sort. |

Aren't you the poster that's saying it's all white people urging blacks on into poor behavior? That has zero to do with what I said. The question remains. Who was doing the looting, rioting and burning? The blacks being uged on by them if that's the route you wish to go. I guess they don't know the difference from right and wrong and need to be told what to do. Congrats, without realizing it, you just said blacks can't think for themselves and are easily lead by white supremacists, since that what you seem to think they are. |
