You Fascist. limey, do you think there is anyone that seeks to end capitalism, private ownership of business, in our current era? If so, do you think the people who seek this are super end of the spectrum fringe people, or do you think any are in powerful positions?

Does socialism have a stopping point at which it says, OK, this is socialist enough? Broadly speaking, Western Europe and Scandinavia.

Here in UK, those people tend to congregate in tiny political parties with names like "Socialist Revolutionary Party" that hate all the other ones called maybe "Revolutionary Socialist Party". If you've seen Monty Python's 'Life of Brian", the bit about the Judean People's Popular Front is a send up of this. Within mainstream Left politics, there are voices calling for nationalisation, or re-nationslisation, of key transport and infrastructure elements of the economy, but no serious people looking for a full on Marxist approach.

Interesting - here is the states, we have two prominent politicians - bernie sanders and AOC of new yourk and they belong to the democratic socialists of america group. A group that openly seeks to someday have their own party....good for them....but from their leadership they state openly: "The DSA regards the abolition of capitalism and the realization of socialism as a gradual long-term goal, therefore the organization focuses its immediate political energies on reforms within capitalism that empower working people while decreasing the power of corporations:[117][118][119][120]" so yes, here is the states we have some prominent people who belong to groups who openly seek to end capitalism.

Broadly speaking, Western Europe and Scandinavia. So it's stopped now and people aren't asking for more? I thought I saw protests. Which protests? There are so many...
