You have to understand how unprecedented this is. We've certainly had tell-all memoirs in the past. Former aides like George Stephanopoulos have written books, even sometimes while the president was in office. But we've never seen such a senior former official saying that the president they've served was fundamentally unfit and unethical and ignorant and, therefore, incapable of doing the job. Of course, what Bolton is saying here does not come out of the blue. This really just confirms what we have heard from other officials, including John Kelly, Jim Mattis, Anthony Scaramucci and others who have left the White House and been completely appalled with what they have seen.
I think this is just leading to a collapse of America's moral standing. I think you're seeing a whole bunch of events, including our mismanagement of the coronavirus and the police brutality. This adds to a picture of a dysfunctional country led by an incompetent leader, somebody who has no right to be in the Oval Office.

In other news, Republican who strongly opposed Trump in 2016 ... still hates Trump.
"Unprecedented." lol I'm beginning to think people who use that word think it means more than it does.
It's also "unprecedented" not just in US history but in all of human history to quarantine healthy people and deliberately destroy your own economy. But I don't see them using the same words as descriptors.
I wonder if Max Boot also agrees that Trump is "irrational" for not invading Iran.

Don't forget that in addition to Bolton's take down of Herr Drumpf, the niece of Fearless Leader is about to release her own version of the sordid tale of two bitties. Apparently chock full of juicy tidbits to delight and disgust all at the same time.
It is, of course,

Of course Max Boot is gung-ho about Bolton's book. He supports many of Bolton's policies and dislikes Trump. For example, Venezuela: If you read that column, it follows Bolton's account (including about military options).

It's that listening to you Trump can do no wrong.. He fucks up "x" and you go on about Democrats fell for .. something .
The key words there are "He fucks up" .. and to an "unprecedented" extent according to more and more people now INCLUDING rightes like Boot..
The things you say he does may entrench his base but that base is rightfully finally shrinking ..
Let's put out your house fire before we work on your shoes..

What?
What a great example for how "Democrats fell for ... something."
"more and more people, now INCLUDING rightes(sp) like Boot..."
You are high on your own supply. Again. Confirming your own biases and demonstrating you don't know what you're talking about. Again.
And this is what I keep pointing out.
Max Boot was very vocally against Trump from day one. What do you mean "now INCLUDING" ... it always included rightes like Boot.
It is exactly ^^^^ stupidity you are complaining I keep pointing out.
The things you say he does may entrench his base but that base is rightfully finally shrinking ..
No. It's not. It's a myth you've come to believe because you're starting from a point where you actually think all of these establishment authority figures who have opposed Trump since the beginning of his campaign, are now "turning on him." Trump's support from the Republican base is *also* unprecedented. You're like Guy Pearce from Memento. You can't put these moments and data points into your long term memory banks. Every single time someone ...who has consistently opposed Trump ... says something anti Trump, you guys say "WE'VE GOT HIM ON THE ROPES NOW! HIS BASE IS ABANDONING HIM! GET HIM BOYS!"
And you double down on exactly the behavior that increases support for Trump.
Let's put out your house fire before we work on your shoes..
I'm working on putting out my house Fiddler. I'm making sure the Democrats can never set it on fire again.

www.vox.com/2016/3/1/11141308/donald-trump-hillary-clinton-max-bootOne of the GOP's biggest hawks explains why he'd vote for Clinton over Trump - Vox - March 1st, 2016
Max Boot is a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and one of the most prominent conservative foreign policy intellectuals in America. He has advised the John McCain and Mitt Romney campaigns on foreign affairs; he is currently advising the Marco Rubio campaign. Boot resists the neoconservative label, which he says he considers vacuous, but he nonetheless is widely considered a leading thinker of a conservative foreign policy ideology that most people would identify as neoconservatism, and he is associated with top neoconservatives such as William Kristol and Eliot Cohen. Yet if Donald Trump wins the nomination, this lifelong Republican would be willing to pull the lever for Hillary Clinton. "I'm literally losing sleep over Donald Trump," Boot told me over the phone. "She would be vastly preferable to Trump." He's hoping that he's not alone — even if it means splitting the party over a Trump nomination. "I would hope that the party would fracture," he says, "if the nominee were a fascist demagogue like Donald Trump." **** What a remarkable change of heart Max Boot has had. /eyeroll Queshank

And let's not forget Boot's support for regime change and other neoconservative policies (which he saw as threatened by Trump).

You appear to be willfully ignorant about this pandemic.
Try reading up on the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918. Supposedly healthy people were not restricted in any way shape or form. Thus asymptomatic carriers spread the often lethal malady far and wide. It was a deadly second wave.
Edumacate yourself, why don't you?

Bolton being hired by Trump was something I said was strange to begin with. I wonder if that was Trump's idea or someone else prominent in his administration. Bolton is the very definition of the supposed "swamp."

Bolton is the very definition of the supposed "swamp." Very much this. Based on the book excerpts, some of Trump's best decisions were not listening to that mustachioed weasel (and some of the worst, listening to him).
