No Trump fan here, and I've seen value in some of the anti-Trump videos, but I have a couple of issues with this one. 1. At least one of the clips used to mock Trump seems to be an example of him actually being herded away from a perceived threat by security (See 0:20 and 0:21). The security protecting any president has a hard enough job without the rest of us mocking their protectees for allowing themselves to be protected. Now, maybe this clip is something else, but that's certainly what it looks like. 2. I've commented on the "leader" thing before. We should be careful about wanting a "leader" and what we mean by using that word. All too often what people seem to mean is a man who pushes his agenda through and "gets things done," either at home or abroad, usually by any means necessary. I neither need nor want that kind of "leader." I have no issues with most of the rest of the video, although the 1960's-style red phone thing is pretty silly and a bit too close to Hillary's famous ad against Obama. As an aside, it would have been nice if either the "Republican Voters Against Trump" or the "Lincoln Project" had picked someone to actually run against Trump for the GOP nomination. I know some of the States were canceling the primaries, but that would have been harder to do with a serious contender for the nomination.

Well it was obviously a political hit piece, but the footage of SS men bundling Trump off the stage was probably in lieu of unobtainable footage of him hiding in the bunker. Oh wait, the official story is that he was just "inspecting" his hidey hole.
It is more his extreme tendency to fabricate alternative facts that is the point of that sequence. A less defensive and mature man would have just ignored the "hiding in the bunker" talk, and refrained from claiming the somewhat ludicrous inspection excuse, but that level of maturity is clearly above Trump's emotional pay grade.
It is an uphill battle to unseat a sitting president running for his second term. But it does happen, as with Carter and Bush41. It would be even more difficult, if not impossible, to remove Trump entirely from the GOP 2020 ticket, so I really cannot comment seriously on that fantasy. You may see in the other thread I posted with videos of R's saying why they will not vote for him this time around, that most of them seem resigned to working with a President Biden and trying to rebuild the Republican Party to advance conservative goals in the future.
Yeah, it's that bad for the GOP.

That "inspecting the bunker" line was pathetic. When Cheney was taken to the bunker, he had no qualms about saying exactly what happened and the undignified way in which he was hauled down there. Cheney, whatever flaws he has, is at least capable of a little self-deprecation. As for the primary, the anti-Trump GOP would not have been able to take the nomination from him, but it would have given their cause a bit more credibility, in addition to the fact that it would have weakened Trump if he'd had to fight on two fronts.

And when Bush the younger, was quickly flown to Omaha and escorted into the Underground facilities, the self-righteous socialist dems had a field day dishonoring him with what seemed like glee. It was what the situation called for (can't remember which one it was), but instead of the lefties focusing on the crisis, they focused on what they insinuated was W's cowardice. The socialist dem left have been axxholes for years, and it's continuing as I type.

I seem to remember some Democrats complaining that Bush didn’t return to D.C faster, but I also seem to remember that complaint not really getting them anything. Probably because Bush didn’t claim to be “inspecting Omaha.”

I would not have complained if they had just left Trump in that bunker permanently.
