Actually, opinion seems quite divided on the origin of the "curse". It is thought not to have come from China, but rather from somewhere in Europe in the 20th century. In other words, some dude (or lady) made it up.

Que is a dropout that fancies himself as some sort of skilless intellectual... You know the kind that can't tell Bach from Debussy or Degas from Cezanne but still thinks a great deal of himself.  There is no such Chinese curse. |

He was once a progressive humanist, but became
disenchanted to the point of being dismal and dour.
But I know that he had a good heart. If this thread was a Disney movie,
Que would probably be the one who reverted and saved us all in the end.
