WTF??
President Trump’s return to the White House podium on Tuesday to discuss the coronavirus pandemic took an unusual detour when he offered warm words for Ghislaine Maxwell, who is facing federal charges of helping Jeffrey Epstein recruit, groom and sexually abuse girls.
Mr. Trump’s comment about Ms. Maxwell, who was arrested in New Hampshire this month and is being held without bail in a federal jail in Brooklyn, came in response to a reporter’s question about whether he expected her to go public with the names of powerful men who have been accused in lawsuits of taking part in the sex-trafficking ring that Mr. Epstein allegedly ran.
“I don’t know,” Mr. Trump said. “I haven’t really been following it too much. I just wish her well, frankly.”
“I’ve met her numerous times over the years, especially since I lived in Palm Beach, and I guess they lived in Palm Beach,” the president continued, referring to the Florida town where his Mar-a-Lago resort is and where Mr. Epstein had a home. “But I wish her well, whatever it is.”

Well now, is a presidential pardon in the future for Ghislaine Maxwell?

Could be construed as “I hope somebody doesn’t suicide her.”

Could be construed as “I hope somebody doesn’t suicide her.” I would agree except that I can't think of any time that Trump has ever used understatement as a form of humor.

I would agree except that I can't think of any time that Trump has ever used understatement as a form of humor. That’s a fair point. To me, this just seems like more of his incredibly clumsy way of speaking on topics he hasn’t practiced or prepared for which, if what we have been told is to be believed, is pretty much everything. Without prepared words in front of him, he flounders terribly, bouncing around like a pinball from phrase to phrase. We’ve become sort of used to it now, but it really is disheartening to watch the President of the United States speak to us like this.

LOL! OMG, if Biden would be asked a question that had not been given him prior to an interview, he might end up saying "Where the hell am I and why am I here?" Heck, has he even done any off-the-cuff interviews? The only time I've seen him in front of a camera is when he is reading from the teleprompter. His eyes never seem to go anywhere but to the teleprompters. Good old Joe can still read, purty well, though. I'll give him that, but a President needs to do a bit more than that. Has Good Old Joe had any off the cuff interviews? If so, I haven't seem them.

If your only response to one is to bring up the other, I would suggest there’s a bias issue going on.
