One advantage of a corded computer mouse over a wireless computer mouse: If the owner should happen to nod off whilst resting a hand on the mouse on the desk, and said hand gives a myoclonic jerk, the wireless mouse is liable to go flying, hitting the floor and exploding into various and sundry pieces, while the corded mouse would likely just dangle from the desktop.
Don't ask how I know this.
