Sorry Greg, I fail to see the point here.
I can *hope* I don't get it, or, if I do get it, that it will be a mild case with no lingering damage. But I have no idea what will happen.
Since I have some risk factors, I figure my brain power is better spent making sure I take enough precautions rather than rely on wishful thinking.

I expect I'll get it and croak.
I come from a family riddled with diabetes (Type 1 and Type 2) with a father who died of an unknown lung ailment speculated to be genetic and hereditary. I am brought down by bouts of pneumonia on a routine winter basis. And I'm a habitual, daily pot smoker. Literally the only thing I've got going for me is I'm O negative blood type.
If I die it won't be because of Gavin Newsom not doing enough to protect me. It won't be because of Nancy Pelosi not doing enough to protect me. It won't be because of Donald Trump or Dr. Fauci not doing enough to protect me.
It will be because I let my guard down. Or someone in my family does.
And none of that will change how horribly misguided and how much more damage these shutdowns have done to our society and to the rise of poverty and starvation around the world. I *do not* think I'm more important than the thousand poverty stricken children around the world who will die of starvation for my protection. I *do not* think I'm more important than George Floyd.. an "unessential" victim of these shutdowns.
