Simple question.
What percent of the population in the U.S. has to die before you think a change in policy or a shutdown should occur?
1 out of 200? 10 out of 100? 50 out of 100?

I know it seems like you're illustrating some kind of point with this.
But a better series of questions is is.
Do you really think 1.65 million people are going to die? Do you really think 33 million people are going to die? Do you really think 165 million people are going to die?
Do you think at all?

Good question.
The reports I've seen suggest that absent any efforts to limit the spread of the virus, but instead relying on herd immunity resulting from widespread uncontrolled infections, the death toll before herd immunity can take effect would be FIVE MILLION.

A forced shutdown is not necessary. People will naturally seek to protect themselves and others if the danger is great enough.

You keep repeating that despite being shown repeatedly that data is inaccurate.

Perhaps you should start your own thread and ask those questions. That is certainly not what I asked.

Let me ask this; what level of freedom are you willing to give up to ensure security? Some, most, all? What level of risk are you willing to accept in life? A lot, some, none?
For me, I'm not willing to give up any freedom to mitigate risk. I will manage my risks.

We’ve tracked the historical levels back to 1950 and the annual estimates and projections have been very accurate.
Year to date it would appear much is reclassification.
We could probably get the number close to zero if all under mandatory lockdown at gunpoint. No shopping, to work etc.
You are measuring a single and mostly pointless metric.

The real question is this: To what does that supra refer?

As many as it takes to get rid of anyone that thinks a "COVID Party" is a good idea. Sometimes, it's ok to let dumb people slowly off themselves [Unfortunately, in this case, it can end up victimizing other people they come in contact with too].

So I'm hearing from the lack of response from our conservative posters that any amount is ok, as long as it's not them personally?
This how you can tell they're not arguing earnest when discussing percentages from different sources.

People don't always respond to what they perceive to be loaded questions, trap questions, or questions with inherent ambiguity or presumption.
