I'm not a big race car fan, but mr crepe is, so I've been to a race or two (my first one was at a dirt track where we lived), and also to a couple of NASCAR. I don't watch the race as much as I watch the people. According to what I've heard on the Race Channel, the noose is not new this year. It reared its head last year, too, in someone else's garage area. No one knew who was getting what area for the race. Heck, they weren't even doing practice due to the virus, so the first time anyone knew where they were assigned was the day of the race. So sayeth mr crepe. Seems to me that hanging a noose in a particular racer's garage area was almost impossible without anyone observing who did it. Much ado about nothing.
I've been to racetrack pits quite a bit, and it would be VERY EASY for someone to have tied that noose there without being observed. Not impossible at all. Are you and Mr. Crappe just in denial about the systemic racism in Nascar? Seems like it.

Losing a battle or contest doesn’t make you a loser. i happen to love the Confederate flag. More importantly, I don’t support mindless vandalism. I respect the confederate flag, and I have good reason to. My wife’s family is from the south, and there were a few soldiers in the Virginia branch of the Confederate army with their last name. In our home in Connecticut, she had a picture of her mother’s Grandfather, and she kept two flags crossed under the big egg shaped frame and photo on the wall. One American, and one confederate stars and bars. What that flag means now to the southerners is, “We are southerners” youall. And that is about it. |
