The conservative view of socialism is that it will follow a set pattern. 1. Establishment with grand promises. 2. Cost over runs 3. Increased taxes 4. Spending and services cut 5. Monetary collapse 6. Government collapse. Spain has been an ideal model for that and at the worst possible time, a pandemic hit. Of all the industrialized nations, Spain has the most deaths per million. We have the hospitals and man power to handle it. Our hospitals are usually in the 95% range for ICU capacity on a week to week basis. Since COVID-19, it's actually been below 90 at most hospitals. Some supplies are running short, but they are still there. |

We have the hospitals and man power to handle it. Our hospitals are usually in the 95% range for ICU capacity on a week to week basis. Since COVID-19, it's actually been below 90 at most hospitals. Some supplies are running short, but they are still there. Interesting observation - context - I know here in maine, they cited past occupancy rates at our hospitals in a report...when you look at the current rates alone, no data to compare - they may seem high...when you look back at the past 5 years, we are actually below avg levels this year, each month... ventilators - we have over 350 total, another 350 alternative ventilators....and a whopping 7 in use...and the dem sara gideon running for gov keeps runniig ads saying her repub counterpart, and trump did not get us the ventilators we need...and people die when not on ventilators... its all politics... |

Ventilators are weak man...as in last week. They have figured out that the ventilators are the wrong treatment. They just treat for hypoxia and immune response now. |
