Every time deportation has came up in our country and others I'm sure. Completely legal citizens get expelled or locked up in internment camps in our country.
Does the Trump contingent expect this won't happen in this case? What papers are they preparing to help prevent this from happening to them?

This rarely starts on a 'massive scale'. Apparently you are of the opinion that this makes this kind of thing all better. Both of us know who will be the primary targets of this thing. Are you OK with stripping the citizenship from naturalized citizens? Because I'm not. It didn't. It started out small and by 2020 they were trying to ramp it up to 700,000 people. But they didn't have the funding to investigate and prosecute all those.
The only way this can happen is if that changes and even then there are restrictions on these types of prosecutions.
I think it's also worth pointing out that while Trump was out of power, no one took steps to prevent this from happening in the future. Instead, the process was kind of cemented in place.
