Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R., Ga.) easily won re-election in her deep red Georgia district, defeating Democratic challenger Shawn Harris, the Associated Press projected. Greene had 67% of the vote, compared to 33% for Harris, with 45% of votes counted, according to the AP. Lauren Boebert has won a third term representing Colorado in the U.S. House of Representatives, but this time in a different district.
Boebert, a Republican representing Colorado's 3rd Congressional District right now, defeated her closest competitor, Democrat Trisha Calvarese, for the 4th Congressional District seat in eastern Colorado, according to The Associated Press.
As of about 10 a.m. Wednesday morning, she had about 53% of the votes to Calvarese's 43%.

This country is populated by a large group who are extremely uneducated, at best a sixth grade level. They deserve representation too, else we cannot call ourselves a Democracy. I have no issue with these choices. Freon

Karl Rove is, once again, beating the war drums. He is ready to send 18-year-olds like my son to fight nuclear Russia over Ukraine’s border so that he and the other neocons can talk like tough guys on TV. On Jan. 28, Karl Rove shared an article on his Twitter page written by Noah Rothman attacking American populists who are opposed to sending our troops to war with Russia.
My view is that Mr. Rove despises “America First.” He loves war and the global economy that all these wars prop up.
And my direct response to that: Screw Karl Rove. The fact that he wants to send 18-year-old Americans like my son to fight nuclear Russia over Ukraine’s border — again, so he can talk like a tough guy on TV — makes me sick. He can put on the uniform and go fight the Russians himself.
Mr. Rove is part of the consultant class that is never held responsible for the failed product of their decisions. It is only the American people who suffer the consequences.

Are there any democratic mechanisms within our Constitutional Replublic that would meet the criteria for our nation being considered a "democracy"? There are always "democratic mechanisms" in a Constitutional Republic, but no, not sufficient to call us a democracy. If you disagree, let's hear it.
"Democracy, will soon degenerate into an anarchy, such an anarchy that every man will do what is right in his own eyes, and no man's life or property or reputation or liberty will be secure and every one of these will soon mold itself into a system of subordination of all the moral virtues, and intellectual abilities, all the powers of wealth, beauty, wit, and science, to the wanton pleasures, the capricious will, and the execrable cruelty of one or a very few." - John Adams
"Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There is never a democracy that did not commit suicide." - John Adams
"A simple democracy is the devil's own government." - Benjamin Rush
"The evils we experience flow from the excess of democracy. The people do not want virtue, but are the dupes of pretended patriots." - Eldridge Gerry
"It is one of the evils of democratical governments, that the people, not always seeing and frequently misled, must often feel before they can act right; but then evil of this nature seldom fail to work their own cure." - George Washington
"Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths." - James Madison
"If we incline too much to democracy, we shall soon shoot into a monarchy." - Alexander Hamilton

We know that actual details like this one tend to trigger you to make your little arrogant pronouncements right before you run away. I'm trying not to spook you into fleeing from the conversation once again.
You're not capable of explaining yourself because you don't know what those terms mean. If you did, you wouldn't hesitate to explain yourself. We've never been a democracy, although the left has perverted the process to bring us closer to that nightmare by electing Senators by popular vote.
Once again, the "extremely uneducated" are smarter than you are on this subject.

There are college degrees that are still valuable.
But as universities have realized that they have an endless customer base that can acquire debt that is guaranteed by the government, they have ramped up the production of degrees that aren't really valuable at all. They simply issue diplomas to people who are willing to give them $40K per year, and they rarely fail anybody in these courses.
And so you have a class of people who hold these degrees that have no practical knowledge, no insight into the real world, and are insufferable with the pretense of expertise.
This lady just knew with the smugness of a thousand progressives that her perception was reality, never questioning the bubble she lives in.
And she won't learn. They've been programmed to think they are smarter and more insightful than a random guy at a liquor store. The truth is, hilariously, that they aren't. They just read things which confirm their biases and quote Joy Reid and Whoopie Goldberg and call it knowledge.

I'm ashamed that they ever let someone as dumb as you to be in the armed forces. Service sure didn't cure your stupidity.

No, that is not the definition of Democracy. Although you are welcome to show us who defines it that way. Freon Of course it is. We have democratic elements in our society, especially at the state and local levels, but at the federal level, we make no direct decisions on policies or laws, thus severing any direct democratic contact.
You're brainwashed to the point where you can't deviate from the propaganda even with word definitions, can you, Freon? How pathetic.

No, you just can't understand that WE ALL KNOW WE ARE A REPUBLIC. You say it to us, as if this is some magical information that only you know about, lol. But Democracy is happening all throughout our country. It's not one or the other, it's both, and that is why I said it is pointless explaining this to you. Freon

You've heard of a Venn diagram? Picture two concepts, that overlap. We're a Constitutional Republic. We're also a democracy. Not sure why you'd want to ignore the democracy part, it's hard wired into the nation's Constitution...take solace in the fact that it actually works, you got your guy in the top spot!
