Even if that is true, I don't think that was the main argument of the cave allegory. Hey, it's down to 12 million "disappearing" votes.
That's a strange argument for you to make considering you regularly ignore what the main argument of the cave allegory was.
Yeah down to 12 million now. It'll continue to evaporate. But ... the narrative has been set. And that's the stuff I've spent 30+ years fascinated watching. Queshank
The main argument of the cave allegory is anti-empirical. Who you gonna believe? Plato's fancies or your own freaking eyes? I go with the latter. I don't know how many votes are left. I don't think it's enough to "recover" all 15 million. It's an interesting question, but I doubt the answer has anything to do with some kind of conspiracy.

Yeah it won't cover all 15 million. So Dems will be able to keep the dream alive that they're actually the majority in this country. And Republicans will be able to keep the dream alive that the 2020 election was stolen.
They both have concrete evidence now after all.
The main argument of the cave allegory is that the common folk have a "shadows on the cave wall" understanding of the world around them. Everything else you always try to attribute to it is navel gazing.

The majority, at least in terms of which party holds political office, changes every few years. Win some, lose some. IIRC, it's not just common folks who have this understanding, it's everyone who has not had the advantage of being schooled by Plato in the "true" nature of reality. Though The Republic much concerned with politics, I think the cave allegory is philosophical. Those horrid shadows in the allegory are just what our everyday perception sees, the always changing "unstable" material world. Better than nothing.

From Plato straight to Freud. I like it. FWIW, meditation which focuses one's attention to one's navel as one's center can be highly therapeutic. And messy.

How much traction do you think this is gonna get? I'm a few hours late to the party but it seems to be popping up more frequently among randos.
Queshank
Ha ha ha ha, so many democrat voters that wised up and knew their party was no longer a party for America. There is nothing missing. They all just did not vote one way or the other.

The count is at 74,176,361 votes for Trump now! With 5% more of the vote counted in California .... 37% to go!
Things are looking bad for ... *checks notes* ... your math.
Queshank
Well that didn't take long.
74,312,688 now. Trump got more votes than 2020 is irrefutable. (It always was but for the copium on the left.)
And there's still millions uncounted.

All I know for sure is rank and file Democrats would be well served not to continually draw attention to how weird 2020's Dem voter tally looks when there was a crisis to "not let go to waste" in the words of Obama's chief of staff. Queshank

Now stop it!! We would not be upset if Democrats wanted to revisit 2020 and the so-called ballot discrepancy fiasco.. We wouldn't even call them election deniers for being curious

It's weird that Republicans were stupid enough to give neo-con filth like John McCain and Mitt Romney that many votes.
It's encouraging that Republicans increased their voting percentage in 2020 and kept it there in 2024.

Wow. Jumped up to 78 million as an estimate for Trump's total now.
Well we know where around 5 million of the missing Democrat votes from 2020 went. Queshank

I still see only 74M+ as his total when I search. Do you have a link for this estimate? Thanks.

I have no problem believing it. It's what would have happened in 2020 if covid hadn't been used as a pretext to fearmonger and divide by the Establocrats. "Never let a good crisis go to waste" wasn't just an offhand comment by Rahm Emmanuel. It's a time honored and effective method of seeking power, if not of governing.
It's also what I have been expecting to see for quite some time and the basis for my warnings, attempts to help leftists see why they were completely getting things wrong and arguments for both why and how the Democratic party was self sabotaging into a regional party. All arguments I made that "leftists" here have flushed from their memories because it never made sense to them cuz I'M the brainwashed one roflmao
