Sharp & Focused He was too old in '16, let alone '20 or '24. Shoulda dropped long before the convention, allowing an open primary and a party selection, as opposed to a successor. Coulda, woulda, shoulda...lol.

Coulda, woulda, shoulda...lol. I think that’s a good choice. Waiting so long made Kamala inevitable. There are obviously talented politicians in the Democratic Party. Shapiro and Newsom are good at the job of politicking. But Kamala couldn’t be avoided post primary. And she’s not talented.

I was high on Biden stepping down, and said so at the time (post debate) but was uninspired with his pick. I didn't like her in '20 and that "meh" was only reinforced with her campaign. If you're gonna run in a popularity contest, you better have charisma because that's what wins votes.

But her policies and the legacy of her boss were the real reasons she lost. Biden "won" (for the sake of argument) in 2020 because he dishonestly ran as a moderate. Kamala had too much extremist baggage to be believable as being anywhere close to the center.

Boy nbc and msnbc kept saying she didn’t have a long enough runway and she couldn’t distance herself from the biden presidency legacy. Basically all throwing Biden under the bus and admitting it was a crap presidency. The truth is the powers that be didn’t want her to have a long runway. Each time she was in front of the camera it got worse and worse. More and more word salads. Worse and worse responses to direct questions.

As bad as she is, there are endless examples of Trump blathering on incoherently. Endless.

But muh keys! - Alan Lichtman
I took a great deal of personal satisfaction in responding to him on twitter a few days ago and telling him he wasn't reading his keys right because he'd allowed bias to affect his judgment on them. I should revisit that post election.

At the end of the day what this boils down to is a bright shiny example of how bad a candidate SHE has ALWAYS been. Democrats could have raised such a stink about her being installed as their candidate, but they shut their collective mouths and fell in line, as they always have.

I differ a little. Trump is a narcissist blowhard, and I find his past behavior to be degenerate. But he has a charisma. It doesn't work for everybody, obviously. But when he wants to be charismatic, he pulls it off. I rarely listen to Rogan anymore, and haven't consistently listened for probably 7-8 years, but I did check out the Trump interview. There's a part where Trump naturally and (seemingly) authentically turns the interview around and starts asking Rogan about the best fighters right now in MMA. He got Rogan to start talking about different fighters, and Trump was actively listening and peppering in questions. It was a bit endearing. He has that quality. Harris has none of that. She isn't likeable beyond her position as the VP and (now former positions of) presidential hopeful. That gets partisan support. But she has no charisma whatsoever, and her interactions with anybody outside of her bubble are awkward and terrible.

The point is, Kamala couldn't be bothered to talk about what interests other people. You're bad at this.
