There's some real BS right there.
Trump floated the idea of replacing the income tax with a tariffs, which would turn the US int a high tax, high regulation economy.

I do not believe that Trump said or meant that. Everything if available would cost so much you would rather pay the tax for the government that we pay now. There are good parts of a tariff. A tariff is a type of tax levied by a country on an imported good at the border. Tariffs have historically been a tool for governments to collect revenues, but they are also a way for governments to try to protect domestic producers. As a protectionist tool, a tariff increases the prices of imports. Due to that, consumers would choose to buy relatively less expensive domestic goods instead.

Just look it up. Here's the quote. www.cnbc.com/2024/10/26/trump-joe-rogan-election-tariffs-income-tax-replace.htmlTariffs reduce competition from foreign producers and that allows domestic producers to charge higher, not lower, prices. Tariffs are also regressive, which means they take a proportionately higher percentage of income from the poor than the rich. We've tried this before. It gave us the Gilded Age. If you wanted a socialist revolution, with an emboldened workers movement and a push toward more government control, this Gilded Age tax plan would be the perfect pretext.

Yeah, I have been saying that Biden's minor role in causing our inflation problem can be seen in his adoption of many of Trump's tariffs. But that's a very different sin from what Trump is proposing- a 20% across the board tariff and the replacement of the income tax system with a pure tariff system. That's nightmare inducing for anyone with a cursory understanding of economics.

They lay out a good case as to why they are endorsing him. Because they don't want to be on Trump's enemies list .. same reason Washington Post and LA Times didn't endorse ..

Keep telling yourself that, because my DD214 says otherwise.
