As Milley allegedly wrote in the letter he never sent...
Allegedly.
That sounds a lot like CYA and trying to rehabilitate one's reputation.

Now do General Flynn, a three star. Both Obama and trump fired him. Do your best. What about him?
Maybe you should review my prior comments on Flynn.
I think he's a crazy asshole and a fascist. Probably before my time here. I still think he's an asshole. His brother is also a General and still on active duty. Enemy from within?

I think Kelly, McMaster and Milley are hypocrites.

Now do the people who still worship trump who have written books praising him in the past five years. thanks Do what about them?
Do you think you have a point here?
Note that they exist and that the reason they wrote the books was to make money. And possibly even get favor from the cult leader. You could also note that most of those who wrote the books you whine about (they didn't write them until after working for trump) likely didn't write them while he was president just because he was still president. See above. And stop whining about former trump officials telling the truth about their experiences. I'm not whining about any of Sarah Sanders' books or any other drivel issued by current or former cult members.

Note that they exist and that the reason they wrote the books was to make money. And possibly even get favor from the cult leader. No shit they write books for money, but this thread isn't about them. Who said they wrote them while he was President. McMaster's new book was published in 2024. Not sure what your point is here. The issue isn't them writing a book; it's that McMaster wasn't calling Trump a fascist until he was trying to pimp his new book. That suggest his actions are motivated not by principle but by profit. Who says it's the truth? John Kelly?
Related to that, according to the Washington Post: "Kelly appeared to offer a false account of 2015 remarks Wilson gave in which he alleged that she had grandstanded in claiming credit for securing federal funding for a new building. Video of Wilson’s speech soon surfaced showing her saying no such thing. Kelly declined to apologize, standing by his comments and suggesting that she may have said things in private discussion, but he declined to explain further."
Kinda goes to his credibility, no?
Was Kelly lying then, or telling the truth? Is he telling the truth now?

Well, if They heard him say a lot of fascist stuff, then I guess their summation is that he is fascist So, why not resign and call him that? Why continue working for him like Milley did?
Why wait until you're pimping your book (McMaster) to call him that?
It's not that Trump couldn't/wouldn't potentially abuse his powers. This - Trump told Latino supporters in Florida Tuesday that "as president, you have tremendous ... you have extreme power" - is true. The President does have tremendous power unfortunately.
But you don't see Kelly, McMaster or Milley advocating for reining in executive power do you?
In fact, I don't see anyone accusing Trump of being a fascist advocating that; instead we're going to continue to let the executive have tremendous, abusable power.
Kelly definitely wasn't in for restraining that power. He was involved in instituting the "Muslim ban," and "in 2017 once told members of Congress to either change US immigration laws or 'shut up and support the men and women on the front lines.'" ( Source)
You appear to be gung Ho on defending trump. For whatever reasons they decided to come out now, I don’t know. What I do know is that Trump is trying to be president again. Maybe they thought after his four years were over, it’s over. But it is not. He is running again and may win. He has got the Supreme Court on his side now who will allow him to commit crimes while in office. He is talking about using the military against the enemy within. Most times, military men are not political. But they know that in the next administration, people like them will not be around to rein him in. Many, like Dick Cheney who participated in this kind of governance probably didn’t realize how far this would go. I have heard people like Geraldo Rivera and Mark Cuban. Say that they have remorse for voting for him in 2016 and understand that he is saying lots of fascist stuff. These people do not support Trump for president: The majority of his cabinet officers. His Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. "Fascist to the core." His Secretary of Defense. "Trump had the understanding of “a fifth- or sixth-grader.” "Most dangerous threat ever." His Secretary of State. "He's a moron." His Secretary of Treasury. "Idiot." His Economic Advisor. "Dumb as shit." His Chief of Staff. “So he certainly falls into the general definition of fascist, for sure.” Two of his National Security Advisors. Bolton: "Too stupid to be a fascist." McMaster: Trump’s “ego and love of self… drove him to abandon his oath to ‘support and defend the Constitution,’ a president’s highest obligation.” White House chief strategist Steve Bannon said in November 2017 that Trump was “like an 11-year-old child,” according to Vanity Fair. The former Republican president. The former Republican nominee for President. His own former Vice President! this says more about Trump than it does about them

You appear to be gung Ho on defending trump. Where is there a defense of Trump? I'm calling these three guys hypocrites. Well, one of those reasons seems pretty obvious. He wants people to buy his book. He ran in 2020 and none of these guys said a peep. (Milley couldn't as Joint Chiefs chair, but others could).

Still begs the question why allegedly was used in your other source.
Anyway, here's an interesting take on the alleged letter:
"Milley’s decision to table his letter—while not commercially driven—can be seen in a similar light. For all its eloquence, it embodies the emptiness of an action not taken. A nice thought, but nearly meaningless in the course of human events. The information is powerful. But the moment was missed. After-the-fact eloquence is not admirable." ( Source)
If Milley did indeed write it, this would sum up my thoughts.

They had said things. Much of what they said, I heard before. In the last election. But that was before the Supreme Court gave him immunity

He hates Trump, like all of you leftists. He made up the "suckers and losers" garbage, so has no credibility.
You folks really are desperate at this stage of the election, aren't you?
Hmmm... So you say he's a Trump hating leftist eh? I dunno... Gref I don't know if he is a fascist so to speak but I do know he and so many others like war.. Republican or Dem doesn't matter, the beast must be fed!
