This is still a silly question that does not warrant an answer. Or rather, you keep asking the wrong question. Freon You said you went out grocery shopping right after testing positive. I've asked you numerous times why you simply didn't order groceries, and here you are praising grocery delivery in SoCal. Why don't you tell me what the right question is, rather than running from this every time it's brought up. Greebnurt Hurkurmurgurt Now what incentive would I have to do that? I could care less how you view me, and by verifying that you continue to ask this silly question, my goal of identifying people like you is achieved. Why change what works? Freon

Run, Pete! Oh, whoops! I meant Freon. Your goal? You're a fucking riot. Stop telling me I'm awesome. I already know. Freon Cute. Why not come clean? Why did you choose to go out grocery shopping after testing positive for covid? You have yet to offer any type(reasonable or not - just, any)of explanation for your actions. BTW - Study up on word definitions. Yeah, yeah, I know - you just like to make up your own.

I do not acknowledge your accusation, so there is nothing to defend. Just because you perceive something a certain way, does not mean your perspective is the only, or correct, one. And as your continued opinion of me does not bother me in the slightest, your persistence in wanting to turn a nothing into a something says a great deal about you. You clearly want to show I am a hypocrite (I actually commend that), but the scenario you are clinging to was not, is not, and will never be the evidence you so desperately seek. This should not bother you at all, though, because if I truly am a hypocrite, there is no way I could not expose that side of myself in other conversations. I'm sure you will have no trouble then, finding all of them. Freon

You've been called out by multiple, not just myself, and tend to run from the subject when questioned on it. You make it seem as though the explanation is a simple one, so why not just go there? You've alluded to people being murderers for not masking up in public, but presented a story in which you went out in public shortly after testing positive. Which, according to your logic, would make you a murderer in your eyes. State your case.

Didn't you say that you had plenty of room for all these parties you're throwing? You think I throw parties on that scale at my house? I rent venues - sometimes turnkey places like night clubs, and other times warehouses or outdoor venues that require me to provide everything(sound, lighting, staff, security, portas, etc. For example, this past Saturday I played(not my party, a friend threw it - I was just booked to dj) an empty upstairs of a furniture liquidation warehouse in a sketchy part of town. The guy throwing it had to provide everything. Five hundred people when I played at midnight. I left right after my set at 2a, but my friend told me there were still 3 or 400 people there when they shut off music at 5a. At my old house, I used to throw parties with 100 to 150 people, but that property was a lot bigger than my new place. So you've scaled down your dwelling place. What happened? Hardship?

If you recall WAY back at the beginning of this, I said that to fully address your question would involve revealing information about me that is private. Instead of simply accepting that, you chose to take the limited information you have, and continue to form poor conclusions from it. That's 100% on you. And since I am aware of all the variables, and none agree with your conclusions (and I am unwilling to share those variables with you), we are at an impasse. So I'm not only fine with you believing as you do, it tells me two things. First, that you form conclusions based on incomplete information, and second, that you are totally ok seeing the Far Right as your teammates. Freon

I sold my place for 1.4 and moved into a place that cost me a little over 2. I grew up near the beach and wanted my forever home to be near it. So yeah, I've settled in to a small 3 bedroom that is about 6 blocks from one of my favorite surf spots. I miss the size and privacy of my old place, but that's the sacrifice I decided on when i found this spot. The upside is that it has an RV parking spot from the previous owner, and I have 5 vehicles between me and my gf, so we're able to fit two in the covered side yard.

You claimed that you tested positive for covid, then went grocery shopping. What am I missing? The only thing I could possibly think of is that you had a medical appointment(understandable and nothing to be ashamed of, let alone disclose details), you had an appointment with a call girl or hooker(in which case I would understand your discretion), or you had to get some type of medication or dildo/sex toy(which could be delivered to your door almost as fast as it would take you to get it). Again, that's the information you provided. You can feel free to clarify at any point, but the only thing that anybody here knows is that you went out grocery shopping knowing you were infected with covid. Greebnurt Hurkurmurgurt

I don't surf, although I do some windsurfing on occasion, which I guess is child's play compared to the real thing, however I like being within a short driving distance from both the nearest consequential ski slopes and the beach, while actually living on the countryside, IE the French Provence, aka heaven on Earth. That way I can ski and do beach activities without having to live among the idiots that agglutinate there.

It’s interesting to watch how a thread like this - that is a fairly important topic - gets derailed and heads off in some weird direction.

It’s the 6 degrees till we all get to hear how he is the smartest guy alive and is an expert in every field. But he doesn’t care if you believe him because he knows it. Oh, and he plays 4d chess.

My angle on this thread was mostly about what passes for "journalism" in the present day. You've added some interesting insights, and I appreciate it. But why was the article written? What is the purpose? We do not have a watchdog media. Not at the legacy-corporate media level. We have propaganda outlets that serve the establishment, that have traded their credentials as "press", and turned themselves into mouthpieces, in order to obtain access to the powerful.

In agriculture what we saw during and post covid a massive increase in home gardening. People expanding their gardens and new entrants. Farmers markets have grown. At the same time the large agricultural interests have ramped up their attacks on this. It’s clear to me that they are tying home gardening to climate change. Home gardening is still such a tiny tiny tiny fraction of produce consumption, the notion that this is what is causing the increase in co2 levels as claimed in the article is ridiculous. It’s like claiming a leaky faucet at a home is what caused the flooding during a hurricane.

This makes sense. I do not need to read this article to realize that massive farms have technology and scale, leading to efficiency. I'm surprised it's only 5x. But what is the point of this (obvious) information? Are you suggesting no one grow their own food? Or is this one of those silly arguments that falsely accuses 'the left' (anyone not far right) of advocating extreme measures to protect the environment? Knowing you, it's the latter, because it is a weak argument that relies on emotion and sound bites, instead of evidence. Freon What do you think the intentions of the journalist are with this article? The intent is merely to signal that the right wing telegraph media site is doing it's obligatory denigration of what science, evidence, and facts indicate with regard to climate change. I'm sure you can find virtually ANY right wing whine you can think of amplified by the telegraph....just like Fox News can be depended on to do. Pick one.....global warming, abortion rights, alternative energy policies, immigration, drag shows, critical race theory.
