Dannels said he and others at the border have been "intellectually avoided and abandoned" by the Biden-Harris administration.
"She asked me why, and I explained all that to her. We've done invites, and they never honor our invites as sheriffs. And to hear her say that now, if anything, she just says, hey, we could do a better job, say something to that effect," said Dannels.
"She just did a media clip where she said she wouldn't change anything Biden did. That's an insult to us here on the border. It truly is."
In comparison, Dannels said Trump "engaged, worked, and prioritized" border security and "made a difference."
Dannels said he is not surprised that former President Trump received the endorsement from the Border Patrol Union.

Too many people worked for govt most of their lives or held junior positions have no idea how hard it is to actually run and lead a large organization. People like Biden, Harris have zero experience developing and implementing plans. People like trump do. That’s why a guy like this sheriff so readily observes the differences between a leader who listens and measures and implements vs a person who literally has no idea what to do. Look at the current Biden Harris priorities list on whitehouse.gov. It lists covid-19, climate and racial equality as their top three. And read for each. There is no measurement. No plan. No way to know if they’ve achieved the objective. Compare that to trumps platform. It’s a master class in how an organization should be run. Specific strategies. Goals. That’s why things were so good when he was president. He knows how to lead. |
