I advocate for choice. When govt controls the only option you are screwed. If a private enterprise owns something if they don’t perform they fail or you go elsewhere Would you advocate for all restaurants being owned and operated by govt? Why not. Same principle. PP runs away from the point. Poor, stupid PP. Desperately clinging to the belief that a for-profit heath 'insurance' enterprises' primary concern is his health. Then logically any for profit business does not have your interest in mind. The socialists / communists will use ridiculous arguments to get govt control over everything. Arguably for profit businesses have an interest in staying in business. To do that a business must provide a value to customers that result in customers returning. And paying enough that allows the business to generate a profit for reinvestment in the business and to cover investment risk. Poor performing businesses go out of business or lose business to better performing businesses. Consumers are the ultimate judge. The reason almost every govt service is poor is there is no competition and no incentive to perform. They remain open regardless of performance. |

Annual checkups cost very little for me. Even treatment for my eyes costs almost nothing unless I get an eye exam for new glasses. That would be forty dollars.
