Shocking, just shocking. The United States healthcare system was deemed the worst overall in a new analysis of 10 similar nations by a leading health research nonprofit. “Mirror, Mirror 2024: A Portrait of the Failing U.S. Healthy System,” published by The Commonwealth Fund Thursday, looked at 70 healthcare systems in 10 wealthy nations including Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and the U.S. and compared them to one another. The nonprofit has conducted and released an international health policy survey since 2004. In the survey, the U.S. system came in last place overall, in part because it earned 10th place spots in both accessibility and health care outcomes, as well as low rankings in administrative efficiency and equity. “Twenty years later this report reveals that our healthcare system continues to lag far behind other nations when it comes to meeting our citizens basic health care needs,” said Joseph Bentacourt, president of The Commonwealth Fund.

LOL, when your benchmarks are things like "equity"
The reality is that we do not have a "system" we simply have Health Care with a lot of government regulations that have shaped it into what it is today and that it is pretty good if not excellent for most people.
The fact that so many Americans are fat doesn't make our health care "system" bad.

Let me flood these countries with fast food, processed food - combined with a large segment of the population that is significantly overweight. I can then pretend their healthcare systems are bad. It’s all propaganda to get govt more involved / takeover healthcare. I spent months in a best in class hospital during chemo. I was shocked at how many came from Canada and Europe and even Australia and New Zealand because of their horrific healthcare. I don’t know anyone who has run to Canada or Europe when they need a heart transplant or some other serious treatment.

There is not a single overall healthcare ranking that put the U.S. remotely close to the top .. Hospital Management Groups (lmao), Pharmaceuticals, and Insurance Companies have seen to that.. .. i.e. "Profit over People"
Our Healthcare per capita cost twice that of most other countries.. Millions have little to no access to primary care.. Millions of Americans are forced to go to the ER for basic services ..
I know personally people living within sight of Duke Med whose schedule for various procedures.. MRI, CT, Mammography .. extends into months ..
Your impending anecdotal evidence is useless ..

Our health care system has very low scores in terms of patient obesity, equity, and inclusion.
Not things like quality of doctors or number of MRI machines, mind you. The important things.
