Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent company to former president Donald Trump’s social media platform Truth Social, closed at a record low following Tuesday night’s presidential debate.
Trading under the ticker DJT, shares fell more than 10% Wednesday to close at $16.68.
USA TODAY has previously reported that Trump Media has become a way for investors to bet on Trump’s chances to win the presidential election against Kamala Harris.
"Changes in stock prices are always about expectations," said Mike Stegemoller, a finance professor at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. "It's pretty fair to say that, probably, expectations were that he was going to do better last night than he did."

You dumb ass. It looks like the stock market is afraid trump might not be elected because of the news about the debate. False news by the way. But the stock market is not taking a chance that Trump may not be elected and save the country. They know that without him, we are in a nose dive crash coming up.

It's Trump's stock that's crashing.. Harris made him look like a babbling fool .. He took the bait every time she dangled it in front of him..
This below is from your beloved Fox News people .. Make no mistake about it, Trump had a bad night. He rose to the bait repeatedly when she baited him -- something his advisers begged him not to do. In the first debate when Biden attacked him, he just kept his cool and kept going. And this debate he rose to the bait. And we heard so many of the old grievances we've long thought that Trump had learned were not winners politically and there they were. Talking about how he didn't lose the election and all that.

I bet it bounces off the 14.88 level before resuming its downward trajectory.
