Something bad is happening.
A lie spreads of something very small and petty within that larger problem.
The progressives (in service to the establishment and with the support of the progressive media), rather than addressing the larger issue, focus exclusively on the small and petty lie that spread.
I don't know this tactic works anymore. I'm not saying it's not going to work, I just don't know that it works anymore.
It's similar to the lie about the litter boxes in schools for kids that identify as cats. The far larger and far more important problem remains.
