The filthy left and their Globalist friends are trying to DESTROY 'Free Speech' in America as well! Britain – Goodbye Free Speech And Margaret Thatcher By: Toni Williams September 2, 2024
We lament the war on free speech here in the United States. We need look no further than France and Great Britain to see this is a global issue. The arrest of Pavel Durov in France is a threat to freedom of speech everywhere. In Britain, they are arresting and jailing citizens for social media posts. In other nutty news, the new British Prime Minister Keir Starmer removed the portrait of Prime Minister Baroness Margaret Thatcher from the walls at No. 10 Downing Street because it was “unsettling”. No surprise that a Fascist would find a freedom lover “unsettling”.

Mr. Starmer isn't a fascist. Neither was Mrs. Thatcher, although she was friends with one (Pinochet) and tried to grant sovereign UK territory to another (Galtieri), both of whom were good friends of the US in the '80s.

Now there was a woman that instilled fear in Britain's enemies. Demonstrating that the argument that Kamala, being female, would have problems doing so, is silly. Freon

The primary enemies, measured by actual attacks, during her premiership, were Argentina & Irish terrorists. The latter continued enthusiastically murdering people, oncluding members of her Cabinet & very nearly her, during her time as PM. They were defeated by her successor & Tony Blair*. The former only attacked the Falklands because the Thatcher Government gave very clear messages that Argentina could take over. The "iron lady" thing is an absurd myth for old fashioned conservatives to masturbate over. *l helped a bit.

I don’t have issues with this. I wouldn’t want Obama hanging in my residence and if I had the option to decide what’s on the walls he’d come down. It’s a bit of a free speech don’t tread on me type thing regardless of if I agree or not

The threads all lead back to her catastrophic time. Not dissimilar to her heart throb Ronnie. I would define enemies as those who wish to harm you. And if they failed, because no attacks occurred, I would consider that a success. So you are telling me that the ONLY attacks were either internal, or a third world country. Not a bad record, in terms of enemies kept at bay. I am NOT saying she was great for your country, I'm merely pointing out that a female leader of a first world country CAN cause it's REAL enemies (China, Russia, etc) to remain passive. Freon

Freon Nah, she opened the door to the wholesale looting of British assets by businesses from outside UK, to the catastrophic detriment of the people. "Enemies" can include "those who do you harm without malice". UK people now are very much worse off than their comparitors from earlier post War generatons. On her, & the 29% of voting adults who fell for the neocon shit.

I respectfully disagree based on how you've chosen to define what an enemy is. According to you, England only had two at that time. Just two. No one else wanted to hurt it in any way. Two. Freon

Overtly, it was the Warsaw Pact nations. Longstanding NATO defence postures dealt with that, although her government undermined it. I'd be fascinated to hear your supporting arguments for "she scared the Bejesus out of UK's enemies". Please go ahead, whilst remembering (a) l was a NATO Potato under her PM-ship, & (b) I've been politically savvy since the early '80s. Note, I said "primary enemies", not "only enemies". Honesty, please.
