So, you were first hand with Moses carving the tsbles and lighting the bush, or do you just believe lld sheep-hearder tales? I believe the reporter because there is so much evidence throughout the story. You believe the sheep-hearder tale for the same reason you don't believe the article -because you need to. Because "there is so much evidence throughout the story"? Do you know what "evidence" is? As to your assessment of religion in general and the Bible narrative in particular, your demonstration of willful ignorance reveals the likelihood that reasonable conversation with you is out of the question.

Your point seems to be like most thumpers - willful ignorance. The article and the pastor were clear - we had a big party and we aren't in the policing business Except (and you didn't address) would the pastor have policed a sex act in the open by the maskless kids that he refuses to police?

How about we get a full direct quote before making a judgment call? Or don't we do that? I would even recommend doing that for the likes of Donald Trump. No?

Sorry, I do my best to not post here again. So keep on defending the indefensible, it's all cool. So strange the way the idiotic becomes metaphor while the obvious demands ever more detail.

I just don’t know how you can defend judgments made based on secondhand quotes out of context. Actually, not even that. I don’t know how you justify criticizing someone who wants the full context of a quote before making a judgement on what someone supposedly said.

I'm not sure the remarks of the pastor reveal him to be a malicious, insensitive douchebag instead of a well-intentioned ignoramus. There's a big difference.

There's a big difference. Okay, try this. It includes party info before the party. www.rollingstone.com/music/music-album-reviews/willie-nelson-first-rose-of-spring-1026977/"advertising the event described it as a welcome-back party after quarantine. “Service is back and better than ever! We will be having our Release Party in the gym TONIGHT at 6:45. There will be games, awesome giveaways, free food, a DJ and music, and the start of our new sermon series. AND we’ll be starting Summer Nights afterwords [sic] with karaoke and basketball! We hope to see you there!” (A spokesperson for the church confirmed Davis was present at the event; in an interview with NBC2, Pastor David Thomas said the church wasn’t going to be policing the event and it was attendees’ responsibility to socially distance." Pretty clear that pastor David doesn’t care and neith did the poor girl's mom who thinks "boycotting the pharmacy due to the 2016 policy from Target, which owns CVS, allowing transgender customers and employees to use the bathrooms of their choice. “I will not put my family (young daughter) at risk because they need to be politically correct,” She showed them

I know that, as Christians, God wants us to submit to the proper government authorities.
Didn't you just answer your own question? There's not a list of exceptions after that verse.

God is the highest authority. What if our government bans the Bible. Should Christians throw away their Bibles? My OP is about what is the tipping point for government restrictions on practicing our faith.

A little girl in Florida died from covid-19 after attending a 100 person maskless crowded church kid's event. The pastor said, not my problem, we don't do policing. Where did the pastor say, “Not my problem”?

You mean you're wanting to discuss the point at which you decide to ignore the commandments from your bible.

Answer my question. If the government bans the Bible, would you (if you are a Christian) get rid of your Bible?

At the same time: "Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than human beings!" - Acts 5:29 There are times when disobedience to government would be required. I don't believe this is one of those times.

Romans 13:1-2 says: "Obey the government, for God is the One who has put it there. There is no government anywhere that God has not placed in power. So those who refuse to obey the law of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow."
If you don't you risk it at your own peril.

I’m guessing you would obey the government’s directive. Next question: Are you a Christian?
