The main crook in the 2024 Presidential race is none other than Donald Trump.

Now, I'm no fan of RFK Jr, but even less so a fan of Donald J. Trump.
I have to wonder... a little... as to why Trump feels it's necessary to belittle RJK Jr. It's not like RFK Jr. has much of any chance of winning a nomination from either main party.
I just hope Trump doesn't win the general election.

I'd take Jr over the current two.

If this turns out to be a close race every vote will be important and Trumpy thinks
RFKJr might cost him more than he does Biden, which would be bad news for
DJT. He fears Bobby Sucks will get siphon off some of the loony toon vote. We'll see.

The last time we had 3 people on stage was with Ross Perot? I'd like a 3 person.

Someone told me the other day he thought RFK, Jr. might be Trump's running mate. Guess not.

Someone told me the other day he thought RFK, Jr. might be Trump's running mate. Guess not. Why?
Read how Trump "tore" into them. Read the words. Not the emotion in the presentation.
The idea of RFK Jr as Trump's VP has been floated and considered by both candidates. RFK Jr isn't interested atm. Altho as he said, he's flattered.
I'm about 50% on that train. And it's important to note that the likelihood of it happening has less to do with Trump and RFK Jr and more to do with how the Democrats handle the dual threat. THAT is what people are seeing and commenting on. Bernie was ok with giving up the fight and submitting to the yoke to the establishment apparatus. As I've tried to point out for about ten years almost now .... a lot of people on the left are *not* ok with that.
And I don't think Trump saying RFK Jr is too liberal for his leftist family is the deal breaker you're implying it is. It's a window into reality and what has become of liberalism and "leftism" for those with the wherewithall to peek through it.

I wasn't implying anything at all about a deal breaker.

I can't see any other way of interpreting these words:
Someone told me the other day he thought RFK, Jr. might be Trump's running mate. Guess not.
... other than you implying that this news is an indicator that that option is off the table.
Can you explain the interpretation you meant people to draw from it?

Oh, I think that this article (if trustworthy and representative of facts) describes a "deal breaker.' But not that his liberalism was the deal breaker. That's what I meant. In hindsight, yeah, I was pretty unclear. I was concluding that the deal was broken, but saying nothing about what it was that actually broke the deal.

What in this article makes you think that? Reading what Trump actually said and not what the journalist masquerading as an expert says about it I simply don't see it. I actually think it's funny that people are taking that away from it and it's why I suggested it's a hot take more than a little divorced from reality. << That being my reaction to almost all "bombshells" regarding Trump in the past 10 years. It's a difference in our views of the world that I'm trying to tackle

BTW. Can you believe Freon argued that the Daily Beast is a right wing site once upon a time and mocked me for using right wing sites when I linked to it? lol. Good times. I still smile thinking back on that whenever I see random_leftist_001 thru 018 share Daily Beast articles like this one. Queshank

Yeah, well, Trump has made his statements, and he tends to double down on what he says. But he does actually "reverse course" from time to time, so you could be right.

Good article today in Politico about the Trump campaign's worries about RFK Jr.'s many appearances on right-wing media, which is bad news for Donny. www.politico.com/news/2024/05/01/rfk-jr-trump-2024-elections-00155425
