This is why Trump claims all his lawsuits are political: he cannot imagine a presidency that hasn't thoroughly corrupted the office.
"I corrupted the DOJ so my political opposition must've done the same!"
This gives new meaning to the saying "drain the swamp."
It's not corruption that was being rooted out, rather, it was those federal employees who were serious about doing their job, who understood the importance of a division of powers and who cared about fidelity to the constitution and the rule of law.
Those are the kind of workers who must be drained and replaced with yes-men loyal to Trump and his needs.
"Drain the swamp" is a neat phrase that puts a kind face on a very nasty thing.

This the purest form of liberal projection that I've ever seen. It's liberals, not Trump, that have politicized and weaponized the judicial system. Their dubious prosecutions of Trump are little more than election interference and political harassment and persecution on a Soviet scale, but the propagandists at Vox have to try to deflect that factual narrative by pretending that Trump is the one politicizing justice, which is a disgusting, perverted lie.

The idea that the justice system has been weaponized (and Trump is simply innocent of *everything*) is the real disgusting, perverted lie.

The idea that the justice system has been weaponized (and Trump is simply innocent of *everything*) is the real disgusting, perverted lie. Are you blind? Of course the justice system has been weaponized and we DO have a two tier justice system that favors liberals and punishes conservatives. Trump is no saint, but every charge against him today are false and he is being persecuted in venues where the left knows that he likely will never get a fair trial. NDA are a common legal practice among those with wealth and power, yet it's only Trump being pursued long after the statute of limitations has run out and with a "novel" legal theory that a local Manhattan prosecutor can arbitrarily call something a felony when he has no jurisdiction to do so.

Exactly. Half the country sees it. And the other half either doesn’t get it or they are saying who cares. Screw the rule of law. I don’t like him. Ends justifies the means.

PP articulates his position when it comes to holding his Master Derp Führer accountable. Good Slave, PP.

Based on what? What are you privy to that gives you better insight than grand juries, judges and prosecutors? Perhaps you're just working from bias? Ever considered that?

Take the carol case First she never filed a criminal complaint. For being raped as she claimed. Then the statute of limitations had long since passed to file a civil case. So the da of New York who ran on a platform saying she will find something to prosecute trump on, works with the state democrats to literally change the statute of limitations. Just for a year. So the woman could file a civil case. You don’t see a problem with that.

Their propaganda stations and back up has made them the fools that they have become.

There have been a list of notable figures sued under this revision to the statute of limitations, including Bill Cosby, Rudy Giuliani, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Axl Rose, Jamie Fox, Cuba Gooding Jr, Andrew Cuomo, & NYC Mayor Eric Adams. This was legislation that was passed with unanimous support in the state senate and with only three opposed votes in the assembly. A significant number of Republicans had to support this legislation for it to become law. I'm not terribly worried about reducing the statute of limitations for sexual crimes. I'm more outraged that people do these acts to one another and expect to get away with it and often do!

In May of 2023 it was da Bragg who began the initiative to change the statute for criminal cases and then the democrat gov worked in concert to change the civil case law because it was clear the criminal case was grandfathered. But they created a loophole for civil cases. This is all well documented. The fact is she had ample time to file a criminal case. By do you suppose someone who was raped did not do this. Then she had more time to file a civil case. And she did not. Why. I’d hope that if some woman came out of the woodwork and claimed you raped her 40 years ago. And had no witnesses. Or couldn’t recall when. And had a story as wild as hers….id hope your reaction would not be well ok, it’s her right to sue me for millions.

Is the fact that every witness taking the stand is/was in Trump’s circle lost on some of you?
