www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/usa-transyouth-data/One would have thought, given all the heat and attention this subject generates, that these numbers would be in the 10's of thousands. But no, it is > 100. This strikes me as some sort of psyop. How did this topic become such a big issue? Are teachers, nurses, and counselors so ineffective that they can only convince 56 kids to transition? Are we getting the best and brightest in these positions? If a concerted influence campaign is under way, it's terribly ineffective. Should people wait until the numbers are in the tens of thousands before trying to stop the sterilization, castration, or genital mutilation of children? Perhaps now is the time to put a stop to it. Maybe before tens of thousands are victims of the practice. It gets a lot of attention because it’s that atrocious. And with plenty of people defending the practice, this adds urgency. It’s not unlike Epstein’s misadventures garnering a lot of attention. It wasn’t that many victims, right? Why is it a big story? Well, because it’s so fucked up. But this is actually more contentious because large segments of the population publicly approve of the practice. So it actually, somehow, has two sides. Agree Many knew what Epstein was doing. And I suspect with the lefts pushing terms like minor attracted persons etc to normalize it there are many more.

All Trans people are pedophiles? I see. Uh no... by that argument...If someone should be restricted in what they do only if they harm you then you have no foundation on which to restrict pedophiles. That's what I was saying. There is no reasonable way anyone would read what I wrote to mean "all Trans people are pedophiles." But you knew that right? Can you offer something meaningful to the conversation instead of provoking meaningless non-conversations? Sure there is, given your behavior regarding this subject.

I see it as a distraction/division campaign, much like the brouhaha over CRT, DEI, & the immigrant "invasion." It's all about finding those subjects that trigger people so that they can be easier to control.

Well can’t that just be said about any issue that one wishes didn’t rise among the population as something important? People are pushing this. Hospital administrators. Nobody is going to prison for doing it. It is increasing (or at least it had been) in acceptance and frequency. People are taking a stand against it because they are morally opposed to a society that would champion and celebrate it.

Yeah, 1390. That’s okay, then?

Around here introducing multiple gender options is in the curriculum before grade 6.

You can also pretend that nobody is fighting back, and ignore these threads. But you don’t ignore that side of things. Huh.

Yeah, 1390. That’s okay, then? I don't have the insight to say. I'd need to consult with medical experts, psychologists, the kids, their parents, etc to get a better handle on how to answer.

I don't think introducing kids to the idea that gender is not a pure binary, but is more of a scale, is not a bad thing. But I could see where some other messaging would be problematic.

Unless it's mostly wrong.
