I accidentally killed a goldfish last week. I was cleaning the pre-filter on the outdoor fish pond. I got three orange goldfish out ok. But didn't see the one brown one (they start out brown, you know) until a few days later when I saw ants devouring it in the compost bin. But there's no shortage of goldfish in that pond.
PS-Don't tell Ira Ezra.

He's probably done that to get away from that heated pool. Goldfish prefer cool water. No ice.

I'll have you know that before my pet goldfish Ezra went into witness protection, he played winters in south Florida and summers in the Catskills. Now, he just lolls around his heated pool, chatting up groupers and drinking (you guessed it) like a fish. One troll washes the other. |
