Since I know Archie wants to tell us about his, maybe a thread about what everybody has or had might be appropriate. This is my 1987 Harley FXRC. Bought it from a guy a couple of years ago with just over 15,000 miles on the clock. It essentially sat in the garage from 2002 until l got it so I've spent some amount of time getting it in the road. She runs GOOD now. Greg

I haven't had a motorcycle in forty years. I haven't ridden one in maybe twenty. I do ride a bicycle for exercise. It is low impact and good for you. But if I could own a motorcycle, it would be a classic Indian. moneyinc.com/best-indian-motorcycles-ever/Take your pick!

BB, last time I rode a bicycle was in 1989. I was coming out of the NCO Club in Okinawa at 1 am. I rode a bike over and figured I could ride it back. Trouble was, by the time I left, I was dead drunk. Got about five pumps on the peddles and fell over flat. Good thing my buddies came up on me. They threw my bike in a ditch and took my drunk ass back to the barracks. Never went back for the bike. Might still be there. Ain't been on a bike since...

Ah my lost love.... a 400 Husky WR desert sled. The last time I came back from a ride bleeding and broken my wife gave me a choice between her and the bike. Sometimes I wonder if I made the right one. However I do have a Husqvarna yard tractor but it's nowhere as fast as the 400.

I rode bikes for about 30 years. Japanese sport bikes, mostly. Don't ride any more, though. Something to do with a hit and run incident.
Harleys have a lot of character but IMHO they are mostly for style and posturing. Nothing wrong with that, it's just not my style.

Nice, hay guys been a while Welcome .. . Did you bring a towel? "A towel, [The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy] says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have. Partly it has great practical value. You can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the heady sea vapors; you can sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so redly on the desert world of Kakrafoon; use it to sail a miniraft down the slow heavy River Moth; wet it for use in hand-to-hand-combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal (such a mind-boggingly stupid animal, it assumes that if you can't see it, it can't see you); you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough"
