I mean... we have a certain poster here who is essentially spamming the forum with news articles, creating threads and not even commenting on them. I guess another goofball that creates massive amounts as well, but at least he adds some commentary... in pretty colors and sizes and fonts LOL
Is there a point where this becomes excessive or anyone cares to do anything?
I would like to think most of the folks on here agree... but then again, since I brought it up I will probably get lambasted for it instead.

Yep I agree MM. It probably has the effect to drive away lurkers and people looking for a forum to join. Maybe the mods can limit new threads by a single poster to 5 a day. Useless has tried to ruin other forums. One reason he does it is to drive Stewie off the front page.

I haven't seen where a user's post count can be restricted in the admin console.
We TRY to be as free speechy as possible here (very limited moderation and very few rules) to encourage all perspectives and the price of that openness is suffering the behaviors of certain posters. All I can say is that the threads will eventually get moved to the applicable forum, but there's usually a delay.

You can control certain posters if you try. This place is dying as is.

Any thread without participation simply gets bumped down the list. Maybe one of them will provoke interest...so "survival of the fittest of the threads." Throw them against the wall and see which one sticks. I see no problem with it. If anything, some of them aren't particularly "political," and might better fit in a different forum (like The Breeze or whatever).

Not that I will do it to prove a point or anything, but I can certainly spam the forum as well. Those threads continually push down any other thread that may or may not continue to be interesting or maybe never have a chance if you never go look at page 2.

He's doing it again. Spamming the board to get Stewie off the front page. Just put all his thread starters n the Breeze, then he can spam himself. People see this crap and move on. This board needs new blood.

OK call it the third commandment of LNF. What do we have? 1. Don't post pornography. 2. Don't dox people. 3. Don't change the content of quoted posts. 4. No physical threats (I think that's a rule). 5. Don't insult family members. So...we're going to add this: 6. Don't start too many threads. Really?

No it should read Odysseus don't start too many threads to drive Stewie off the front page. Again it is about one poster who acts as if he owns the place and you're afraid to do your job because someone might squawk.

Physical threats are meaningless when people can't possibly make good (in a manner of speaking) on them. They are analogous to a kind of cursing, iow kinda harmless.
