Forgiveness opens the door for reconciliation. And if you miss a step you'll be tortured for eternity... Well, "miss a step" certainly undermines the story of grace and mercy...but it's true that a lot insist on that narrative. As for the "tortured for eternity," we've kind of already discussed (and dismissed?) that. Might be worth it's own thread at some point. |
