Someone said that we have a British type new guy. Maybe he can help me understand their hat situation. I’ve watched more than several over the past few years. Watching Rebus right now, not bad. Dressed in heavy coats against driving wind and rain, or maybe just a downpour, it’s apparent that it’s winter. Scarves are popular, but not so much hats. Actually, no hats can be found on most of these shows. No hats, no cap, no beanies, or bucket types and especially no cowboy hats, or bowlers, or buckets, or even one of those silly pork pie hats that Pee wears.
What gives? Protection for the head is important unless you live in Hawaii.

You gotta check out an old Britsh cop show. "The Sweeny". It was the Hawaii Five-O of the UK back in the day.

Morse was on occasionally but I was out lollygagging instead of following it. Greg

Greg Amazon Prime has it, plus a sequel and a prequel. Foyle’s War is a favorite of mine. m.imdb.com/title/tt0310455/

They’re wearing hats in the Netflix trailer for Bodies, it it’s far from the rule.

Greg Amazon Prime has The Seeeny and a 2012 Sweeney movie. I’ve just watched the first three episodes. Not bad, a little goofy, but with Thaw and Waterman even 1978 goofy is good. You should give Morse a try.
