This came up recently in one of my news feeds. Apparently Earhart, along with her navigator Noonan, crashed their plane in the Pacific some 86 years ago.
I also recall a folk song back when I was a teen, about Earhart. It had the following memorable lines:
"It's a beautiful, beautiful feeling, Far away in a land that is fair, Happy landings to you, Amelia Earhart, Farewell, first lady of the air."

Are you accusing her of being a pedophile, too?

Far right would have HATED her. Woman? Doing a man's activity? Freon

Found the complete lyrics to this song...
A ship out on the ocean, just a speck against the sky, Amelia Earhart flying that sad day; With her partner, Captain Noonan, on the second of July Her plane fell in the ocean, far away.
cho: There's a beautiful, beautiful field Far away in a land that is fair. Happy landings to you, Amelia Earhart Farewell, first lady of the air.
She radioed position and she said that all was well, Although the fuel within the tanks was low. But they'd land on Howland Island to refuel her monoplane, Then on their trip around the world they'd go.
Well, a half an hour later an SOS was heard, The signal weak, but still her voice was brave. Oh, in shark-infested waters her plane went down that night In the blue Pacific to a watery grave.
Well, now you have heard my story of that awful tragedy, We pray that she might fly home safe again. Oh, in years to come though others blaze a trail across the sea, We'll ne'er forget Amelia and her plane. Chorus

I don't know why people think it's such a big mystery. The Pacific is gigantic and deep. If her plane sank anywhere in it, we'll likely never find it. Nothing mysterious about that.

Freon Ah, there's your prejudice again, because you would cast my Christian tradition into the "far right" category, and they were extremely progressive in the promotion of women leaders...at least until World War 2. So...not sure what you do with that.

You believed I was directing this at you, even though I never referenced you at all. If you are not them, why even respond to this? Why empower my position by acknowledging that you have something to defend? Only a single plausible reason. Because YOU know I'm correct, about both things. Freon

I'm pointing out a contradiction in your reasoning. You have claimed I'm "far right." My tradition has empowered women. That's a contradiction in your reasoning. Not unexpected, of course.

OK:
#1: MFA is not "far-right".
#2: Freon was not accusing MFA of being "far-right".
Claro que si?

It's fine by me, Mercy. You have acknowledged what you are, and I'm the one who made that happen. You try so hard to tell me I have no clue about you, and yet without directly communicating with you, you've adopted my perspective. I wish you would understand you better, but it seems that's just not ever going to occur. Freon

Acknowledging what you say and pointing out your contradictions is not agreement with what you say. Why would I agree with a contradiction? A contradiction, by the way, which you have left unaddressed to this point. Again, not a surprise. Will you address it?

I've spent years explaining you to you, so I can safely, empirically, say that this is one topic I've addressed more thoroughly (with you), than any other. If you STILL do not get it, then we are at an impasse. I can only show you the door. You have to choose to walk through it. You have not made that choice. Freon

Freon I would not walk through a door that leads to internally contradictory views and significant departure from reality into a solipsistic world t your imagination. You can enjoy that by yourself.
