Remember how we weren't going to send ... W ... X and Y to Ukraine? But then we sent W, X and Y to Ukraine? And remember how we weren't going to send American troops to Ukraine? But now we have American troops not only decreasing stability in the region, but also directly in the line of fire during what is likely a Russian orchestrated military conflict?
How long before Z is on the table with the full throated support of the American left because "orcs" have killed some of our holy warriors?
I translated for some of the board leftists. I'm aware thor won't understand, no matter how elementary I make it. But there's hopes some of the less ... zealous ... leftists can understand.

The most ironic part of this conflict is that Azerbiblahbidan is Ukraine in this scenario. The region is within Azerbiblahbidan's internationally recognized borders.
And ethnic Aremenian separatists in the area are the ethnic Russian separatists in Eastern Ukraine.
Just gotta dig to find the humor sometimes.
10 bucks says every leftist condemns this move tho. It hasn't received the holy blessing of democracy to christen it's actions. Pope Biden didn't give permission.

Putin must be contained, no? Contained how? He's practically containing himself.
His war in Ukraine is leading to Russia losing influence in its near abroad. Look at this conflict in particular. Russia was providing peacekeepers; but those have left and they've lost influence with Armenia (and haven't exactly gained influence with Azerbaijan).
Also, look at the Central Asian Republics. There Russia is losing its influence primarily to China.
Putin/Russia may get what it wants in Ukraine, but strategically, this war has been a disaster.
If you want someone to contain, might want to look at China, not Putin.

At what point are the people who are supposed to (you and me) going to rein in the Dept of Homeland Security and our 19 (19!!!) intelligence agencies that have spent the past 20 years destabilizing governments and regions around the world and leading to right wing backlashes across Europe as refugees from the regions we destabilize wind up being housed in the same neighborhoods and communities competing for the same jobs the proletariat with the fewest resources to absorb the influx .... by the elitists who call them racists when they protest?
I still think it's amazing that the "story" part of the "17 intelligence agencies agree" narrative wasn't "Holy fuck??! We have 17 intelligence agencies?" It's 19 now btw.

What democracies has he destabilized? Is he using disinformation in other countries elections, etc.? Sure, but I don't think you could seriously argue that he's been successful (not based on the analyses that I've seen). And the Baltics and other Eastern European states have actually worked to harden themselves against those tactics. |
