Yeah, I've been watching some clips of Jordan and Gaetz making fools of themselves. Overall I'd like to be able to attend these "hearings" but only if I can do so under the influence of some pure smooth LSD to sort of take the edge off it. Hilarious.
I'm putting my biggest money on Comer being the king hell wingnut in all this ridiculous "investigation" frenzy. I expect Comer to whip out Hunter Biden's laptop any day now. Right after Rudy shows up with his suitcases of evidence against the Bidens he got in Ukraine.

Freon Dog and pony shows without substance seems to be red meat for "the base." That seems to be enough for the current crop of trumpaloons to raise money which is really the endgame as a tool to hold onto their power. Part of me thinks that major parts of them would actually prefer to be in the minority. They can squawk and shout from rooftops ad nauseam and have no actual responsibility, do no actual work and attend cocktail parties to pat each other on the back and congratulate themselves for doing the lord's work. |

After all, a batshit crazy hearing pretty much demands a batshit crazy audience. Not to say I'd be any part of such a thing. I like to keep a low profile unless things suddenly go sideways. I like spectacles and have a special contempt for spectacles that are fake and presented only because the presenters know they will be appearing in a spectacle. A spectacle that has definite possibility of becoming a debacle. The only thing preventing such an outcome is the plethora of cult members and wingnuts rallying to the defense of stupidity. You can easily observe this phenomena in this forum. |
