You don’t understand the difference between happening now and has already happened No you imbecile, you tried to say it wasn't hearsay and then I quoted your own article to you proving that it was. Double the clown Looney at it again. Read slower comprehend more. Something called "Visit Orlando" as your quoted expert says that there won't be any problems this year because conventions are booked a year or more in advance, but you became so excited after reading, "bookings suggest the city will have similar tourist levels to 2022" that you didn't even clean up before postisg. "Visit Orlando told the Orlando Sentinel that hotel bookings suggest the city will have similar tourist levels to 2022 through the summer, and tax collection data from June is expected to be higher due to an uptick in conventions. Any major hit to Florida’s tourism industry as a result of conventions getting canceled is likely to be a longer-term trend, as many of the events pulling out of Florida were scheduled for next year and organizers often plan events years ahead of time. “In Greater Fort Lauderdale, we have seen record tourism numbers through the first quarter of this calendar year, but as I said, group business books years in advance,” Visit Lauderdale CEO Stacy Ritter told" Did you catch this part? "conventions getting canceled is likely to be a longer-term trend, as many of the events pulling out of Florida were scheduled for next year and organizers often plan events years ahead of time" Continue on, at this point it's unlikely you could appear less capable of rational thought. Poor Billydotmoron still hasn't figured out that this thread is about Florida -is- failing. It's talking about what is currently happening right now, not predicting what's going to happen. You're lack of intelligence is causing you to not be able to follow the conversation. There is no data available that supports the statement that Florida -is- failing. There is anecdotal evidence that can make predictions but this isn't good data and it should be taken with a grain of salt. We were discussing an article that you failed to understand. Sorry loony, but your inability to understand the article you quoted is easily seen in this thread.

This will be a boon to new construction. 😳 I live in Florida. And Florida is doing very well. There are twice as many people coming here than leaving. The most that are leaving are the ones that come here and stay for the winter. We call them snow birds. The hundreds of thousands moving here from (D) run states are coming to live a better life. The building and construction going on is incredible. Homes and condominiums being built all over the place. I don’t like it, I prefer looking at the tropical forest (Jungle I call it). I don’t like seeing the animals homes destroyed. And I have to worry that all moving here from those (D) run states will be still too stupid to remember why they ran away and vote the way they did there and ruin this state too. And the Farmers ins. is running away because the word out today is that because of the unusually warm weather, we may have more hurricanes. And all the new traffic here, I see an accident almost every day that I drive, more than once as many as three a day, and some pretty bad. Just days ago on I95 I saw two fire engines, three cop cars two cars dented up a bit and one car smashed so bad from behind I couldn’t believe it. The whole back of that car, wheels and all were smashed right up to the back of the front seat. They had to get a crane to lift that car into a junk truck, the car that hit it was already taken away, and I didn’t see that one. I never saw a car that smashed before. I never heard anything about it on the news. I don’t know if anyone survived that one. The traffic is real heavy now, and I see many cars rush to get through the yellow light, and many it turns red just as they go through. Sometimes I think I am on the race track when on I95, getting passed on the left or right, they zig zag between the cars in front to get in the lead. Speed limit is 70. I and most others cruse at 75 and these cars are passing us like were standing still. And I guess Farmers ins. must be paying for a lot of car damage. We are having a traffic light put in front of our gated community now because of the traffic, you have to wait quite a while before you can pull out left or right, and you are not supposed to take a U turn in front of our drive way, and it happens by the dozens.

... rent prices through the roof, insurance companies leaving, insurance premiums skyrocketing, doctors and nurses leaving, corporate development projects being canceled, kids not allowed to learn actual history, etc. So here's the big question. Where the hell is their governor??

Inflation is plunging across the U.S., but not for residents of this Southern stateInflation is rapidly cooling across the U.S. — unless you live in Florida.Residents in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach area saw prices shoot up 9% in May compared with a year earlier. By comparison, nationwide inflation for the same period was less than half that rate, with prices rising 4% in May compared with a year earlier. People living in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater area have it slightly easier, with inflation rising at a 7.3% annual pace, but that's still much higher than the U.S. as a whole. www.cbsnews.com/news/florida-high-inflation-housing-costs-cpi-consumer-price-index/

That is in Melbourne Florida. And the cheapest gas is $3.29. Most stations around $3.42.With the tax, I paid a bit over $20 for a gallon of wine. The cost of everything is much higher. We are obviously still under a serious inflation. And until President Trump, also a good business man, is in power again. We will still be getting ripped off with inflation, a lot caused by other countries beside the idiot president in charge now.

Where the hell is their governor?? Inflation is happening in every state. Why would you blame a governor for what a president is causing? It is not a state tax causing the inflation here in Florida. It is the disaster from day one in office, named Joe Biden with his eraser that got it started. And he and his whole damn party have no idea of how to stop it. I wonder if they think global warming is causing it. That is the mentality of the democrat party and anyone that would dare to back them.

It is not being caused by a state tax that DeSantis is in charge of. Are you really that dumb? You think inflation is going down, no it isn’t the pandemic is over, and all that was shut down when Biden took over what is left is reopening. But things available again now are costing a lot more than before the intelligent democrat shutdowns because of the pandemic. You can take your mask off now. Maybe you will think better.

... rent prices through the roof, insurance companies leaving, insurance premiums skyrocketing, doctors and nurses leaving, corporate development projects being canceled, kids not allowed to learn actual history, etc. So here's the big question. Where the hell is their governor?? Yes, rent prices are higher, and home prices are higher. Guess why? Because millions of people are moving from democrat run sates to Florida to live a better life. And they are willing to pay for what they want to get away from their dirt run states. If you get to rent a house for the winter in my neighborhood, the average is $1800 a month. Most of the homes being built in Melbourne cost from 380 thousand and up over a half million. And the traffic is a pain in the butt most of the day, and accidents every day. And gas here used to be $1.90 until Biden sat in that office. Everything then instantly exploded. Wise up. Your party is not what it used to be. The last democrat that I voted for was John Kennedy. You see, I am not a democrat or republican follower. I vote for what is best for my country. And me of course. The rest of what you said is BS. You may have to wait to see a doctor and nurses may seem scares because not enough of new ones are here yet keep up with the new millions moving here. And kids don’t have to be taught that they can be a boy or girl if they want to. Not in our schools. If I were you, I would not mention history. Because what is going on now has happened many times in history when being taken over by a dictator. Now hand in you guns before you might hurt yourself or someone else. They are a dangerous toy.

It's hilarious that archie cannot remember who the president was during the lockdowns and shutdowns that was the catalyst for the shortages. Hilarious, but not at all surprising.

If Florida is “falling hard,” so far the state’s residents don’t see it that way: FULL ARTICLE
DeSantis’ national numbers, however, tell a much different story.

Insurance companies are doubling their premiums in Florida. My insurance is the same as in was for the last four years. In Florida it has tripled. Why is it so bad in Florida? Can’t be Biden’s fault if it is only happening in Florida
